Location
Nestled along the banks of the Vltava River, you’ll find the grandest hotel in Prague. Also known as the Golden City, it’s only fitting that the Four Seasons Hotel Prague embodies this notion of luxury. Comprising three buildings connecting a modern structure, an 18th-century and 19th-century building together, the Four Seasons demonstrates the best of this historic city.
A short walk from Old Town Square in the heart of the city, the Four Seasons Hotel Prague is a luxury hotel with a great location. You’re also just steps away from the Charles Bridge from here, allowing easy access to Malá Strana or Lesser Town.
Of all the luxury hotels I’ve had the pleasure to visit through the years, this Four Seasons in my heart city of Prague is one of the finest. The service is above and beyond, and you have exquisite views from all over the property. Spending each morning noshing on kolaches on a terrace overlooking the Vltava River with Prague Castle standing proud in the distance? Absolute heaven.

Guest Rooms
Walking into the room felt like being transported back in time. My airport-weary eyes took one glimpse at the Bohemian crystal chandelier in the center of the room and nearly broke into tears.
My spirit felt at peace here as someone with a heavily Bohemian heritage. Only then could I truly appreciate the dreamy wall moldings that reinforced the room’s historical aesthetic?
Since there are three buildings at the Four Seasons Hotel Prague, the rooms represent the varied ages of the entire hotel. In all, there are five types of guest rooms at this hotel.
The Grand Renaissance Room (where I stayed) is in a Neo-Classical style, and the four types of modern rooms are known as the Premier River Room, Deluxe Room, Superior Room, and the Modern Room. All of these rooms are posh, with modern amenities and comforts throughout.
Each hotel room has one of the most comfortable beds you will ever experience. You’ll have a hard time pulling yourself away each morning. Plus, the opulent marble bathroom with a roomy soaking tub will beckon you to stay in the comfort of your Prague abode.
In addition to the traditional rooms, seven types of suites are available, as well as an on-site villa. The most incredible among them is the Royal Suite.
Decked out in crimson, these suites that range from one to four bedrooms are absolutely the royal treatment. And the Duplex Suite with Balcony ensures you never have to say goodbye to the hotel’s incredible city and river views.
Food and Drink
CottoCrudo
When morning comes, head down to CottoCrudo for some breakfast. Just off of the hotel lobby, this Italian restaurant turns into a succulent breakfast spread for the early and not-so-early risers.
Luckily for the other anti-early birds, breakfast at the Four Seasons Hotel Prague continues until 11 am. If it’s in season, try to get a seat on the Malá Strana facing terrace if you can.
A plethora of food is available, though I highly recommend getting at least one kolach during your stay. A kolach is a Czech breakfast pastry, similar to a Danish (but far better). My favorite is the cream cheese kolach, thanks to a Bohemian family recipe.
After the morning, CottoCrudo is open for lunch and dinner. This restaurant serves Italian cuisine, including homemade pasta, but its bar also serves a petite menu. The bar is also open a few hours later in case hunger strikes after the main restaurant is open.
Miru
Aptly named in the Japanese word for “view,” Miru is an exclusive dining experience on a terrace at Four Seasons. The terrace is designed to resemble a Japanese garden, enveloping you in its serenity as you look over the Vltava.
This Japanese style restaurant only serves four tables per dinner service, so it’s practically a private dining experience. Make your reservations as soon as possible since spots fill up quickly.
Miru serves a nine-course tasting menu created by Chef Toshikazu Kato. It is a Nikkei-style restaurant, a type of fusion cuisine that combines Japanese and Peruvian culinary elements. The menu is filled with Japanese techniques applied to Peruvian ingredients in this case.
The Gallery
The cafe-style eatery at the Four Seasons Hotel Prague, The Gallery, is open five days a week from noon afternoon until early evening. Its name comes from the contemporary Czech artworks that adorn its walls.
This patisserie serves up warm pick-me-up beverages as well as cocktails. Afternoon tea services are also offered each weekend.
In-Room Dining
Room service is available 24/7 at the Four Seasons Hotel Prague, something I was grateful for when I arrived after 10 pm instead of the intended 6 pm. You don’t even have to place a call for room service; you can order straight from the Four Seasons mobile app.

Vitality Pool
My complaint about this complex hotel building is that finding the swimming pool and spa area is tricky. That said, meandering the halls is well worth finding the Vitality Pool.
This fabulous Grecian-style pool area is everything you’ll need after a long day of walking through the city. This oversized pool has several massage features that use hydrotherapy to work several muscle areas.
Since the pool is adjacent to the spa, you’ll also be offered tea when you enter. Not to worry, all guests of the Four Seasons Hotel Prague are welcome at the pool regardless of their use of the spa.
I highly recommend taking the spa attendant up on their offer; the tea enhances the pool experience. Don those ultra-comfy Four Seasons spa robes in your room to the pool for maximum relaxation.

Ava Spa
Based on Czech spa traditions and a water theme, the Ava Spa offers a full range of spa services. From manicures to massages and everything in between, the Four Seasons Hotel Prague spa is here to pamper you. Ava is open every day until 9 pm, too, so there is plenty of time for an after-dinner skin treatment to help you relax.

Other Property Amenities
In-Room Surprises
Before check-in at the Four Seasons Hotel Prague, you can order special in-room surprises to greet you upon arrival. Order some deluxe chocolates, pastries, or wine to enjoy as you gaze at the city or Prague Castle from the comfort of your room.
Boat Rides
It only makes sense that the Four Seasons Hotel Prague has its private wooden boat to transport guests along the gentle Vltava. See the Charles Bridge, Old Town, and Prague from a new perspective. Availability for these boat rides is extremely limited, so don’t procrastinate contacting the hotel to book.
