Another branch in a well crafted world

Accelerator of the intertwined "A Certain Magical Index" and "A Certain Scientific Railgun" series finally takes center stage in his own series. Those familiar with the previous works will find this series immediately takes you into familiar territory with the classic Accelerator/Misaka Misaka duo that was so much fun in the other shows. Returning fans will not be disappointed. For those who haven't seen any of this before, it would be a good idea to watch the previous shows leading up to this one. It's a vast world with some great characters, and it's all good stuff. It's important to note that this appears to be placed before the events of "A Certain Magical Index 3"in the timeline. I've listed the seasons in a recommended order, for continuity purposes: 1. A Certain Magical Index - Season 1 2. A Certain Scientific Railgun - Season 1 3. A Certain Magical Index - Season 2 4. A Certain Scientific Railgun - Season 2 5. A Certain Scientific Accelerator - Season 1 (This anime) These shows follow characters through some shared timelines. The same characters, but with a different focus. And it's all a lot of fun. There is a third season of A Certain Magical Index that seems to take place later in the timeline than this series. Edit: A third season of "A Certain Scientific Railgun" has since been released.

One of the best 2019 summer anime

I rarely write reviews but this anime is too good to only have 4.3/5 rating. The MC is very badass (thanks to his voice actor), the animation looks decent, the opening is fire and there are always enough contents in each episode to keep me interested.

DO NOT JUDGE A SERIES BY ITS COVER

I know that the thumbnail of this series is a colorful and a rather childish looking one. However, it is far from it. "A Certain Scientific Accelerator", is a story about an injured man with a deep past being one of the strongest humans in a future where everything from AI to giant monster robots exists. This is not your average "crying hero", hell, he is more of a neutral grey or maybe even evil man who despise unrighteous manslaughter. This is a man who is so badass that he can destroy your giant robots in one punch despite being extremely injured. Do you like badass characters with hot/cute girls (not ecchi) in it like in "Overlord"? Then this is definitely a series for you! Also, the animation is 10/10, story 10/10 and characters 10/10. Why are you not watching this already?

He's Not a Hero Remember?

For people who has watched/read A Certain Magical Index, or A Certain Scientific Railgun, this show's MC needs no introduction, and yes you get exactly what you'd expect to get with Academy City's most powerful esper at the helm, and he's just as brutal, bad ass, and stupidly overpowered as he always is. That being said... his relationship, and interactions with Last Order, and his *ahem* bullet wound to the head, however makes him far more relatable than he was in the other two stories, not to mention it gives the man a ton more character development. Basically give it a watch if you're an fan of Accelerator, or if you're most interested in the Dark Side of Academy City, or both, because if this goes according to the source material... it's gonna be one hell of a ride.

WARNING THIS IS NOT THE MAIN ANIME

This is a great anime to be sure but to get the full effect of it you should watch it at least after the 2nd season of the main anime A Certain Scientific Rail-gun. If you dont watch the original anime first you will miss a lot of the impact of the characters but you will still enjoy this anime.
