north central texas community college is in a great part of north texas with access in many towns. I like nctc because of the surrounding area
Most of the professors are great and really help you adjust. They are also really great to students with disabilities.
All online courses are arranged neatly and done through canvas which is easy to navigate. I also have no problems contacting my professors and advisor.
NCTC is very flexible for those who have priorities outside of education or for those who are undecided on their majors. Most of the professors are amazing in their subject. NCTC also offers free tutoring and healthcare for those who need it.
North Central Texas College is definitely great for budget. It is one of the cheapest you can go too and it also provides you great professors. You are able to learn and ask questions in smaller classes rather than big classes in universities. To give you something to think on, my boyfriend goes to University of Texas at Dallas. My freshman year we took the same courses, but obviously at different colleges. We constantly talked about what we were learning and it was almost exactly the same thing. I was getting the same education that he was at 1/4 of the price. I strongly recommend NCTC if you can’t afford to go to a university. You are not alone and it is so worth the save of money!
North Central Texas College equipped me to go to a four-year university! I had a great experience with all the professors and staff I interacted with. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a community college.
North Central Texas College (NCTC) stands as an educational beacon, renowned for its commitment to excellence. With a diverse array of programs and a faculty dedicated to fostering academic success, NCTC creates a vibrant learning environment. The college prioritizes student engagement, offering modern facilities and innovative teaching methods. NCTC's emphasis on community involvement further enriches the educational experience, preparing students not just academically, but also as well-rounded individuals. As a hub for knowledge and growth, North Central Texas College consistently proves its greatness in shaping the futures of those who walk through its doors.
All the teachers are super helpful and want to teach. Being in a nursing major and softball classes get stressful and overwhelming, but my teachers communicate so well with me. I wouldn't want to see any changes, my college experience is amazing!
For anyone that is unsure of wanting to go to a big time college honestly should consider going to NCTC. With the seven different locations in the North Texas along with the ability to do online classes, and with other locations in MSU, local High Schools and seminars in local areas make this community college easily accessible.
My experience at this college has been nothing but positive so far. From the administrators to the teachers, they are all there to help you succeed. If I have any questions or just a little help they go above and beyond to assist me. I believe that when they hire people, they truly do look not only for the best but for the people who really want to educate and see the future filled with smart excellent people.
I enjoyed the Small teacher/student ratio & wide variety of campuses around me. I also enjoyed the professors I’ve had as they were understanding & caring
I absolutely loved taking classes at this college and I will be returning next semester. I love how helpful the website and portal is and also the staff.
I think north Central Texas College is great! But I still haven’t received my Fafsa application! I hope it goes thru
NCTC has helped me understand what college is all about. Going to community college before a 4-year public research university has been pivotal to helping me get into gear for what is to come. While basic courses have not necessarily been fun, it beats having to take them at a larger university which my family would be paying much more for. All of my professors have been very helpful, and group work with my classmates has allowed me to interact and develop skills. For those who are deciding to go to college, I highly recommend starting at community college because it saves a lot of money, gets your basics out of the way, and develop skills and take time to reflect on your professional and personal choices without having to venture too far from home.
I recently started my education in North Central Texas College last week right after the week of my high school graduation. At first, I did not know how I would feel or what to expect ones I enter college. I was more nervous than scared. Then as time goes by, I started the process of registering classes in the summer. The staff as NCTC has been very welcoming and kind towards helping me with any questions and concerns as I went into the process of registering. I have met amazing staff and students who has led me to my classes in which I did not know where it located. Overall, my experience here in NCTC has been successful!
My main complaint with NCTC is that some professors feel like high school teachers, especially of the online variety. They make no effort to make what they are teaching exciting and often do not even bother to make their own learning resources. The work assigned feels more like a task list rather than something that rewards creativity and ingenuity.
I like the flexibility and accessibility of NCTC. It was so easy for me to earn a degree while also pursuing a career in ballet. Advisors were always so helpful and there were so many options for classes.
