Sprout has it all. Analytics, content scheduling, ability to reply, etc. We use many features of Sprout and they all perform really well and consistently over time. It is easy to engage with our community with Sprout and repost UGC, a huge plus for our line of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Waiting on a TikTok integration! Overall, Sprout really has so many features and functionality that are great, it's hard to pinpoint what I dislike. It would be neat to have a Youtube Integration where we can respond to comments from the Sprout Smart Inbox. Also, getting integration with Instagram Reels would be amazing. I love that Sprout Social connects with multiple different social media platforms, listings like Google and even Google Analytics. We also enjoy being able to set up user features which allow us to keep track of and approve any posts that a user wants to publish to one of our social media platforms. As a marketer, keeping control of what is said and any disclosures that are needed as we are in the financial industry, gives us peace of mind. And the mobile app feature allows us to stay on track every day, answering questions or comments when we are away from the office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish that Sprout Social integrated more with being able to invite those that like a post in Facebook or to like or "heart" those comments on an Instagram post. That is the most daunting task of having to constantly go into the native social platform in order to do those types of things that help us grow our following. The other piece that is kind of a pain is having enough profiles- since we have one main Facebook page and then specific location pages, it would be nice to have access to those as well instead of having additional costs. Ease of Use: Users value platforms that are intuitive and easy to navigate. A clean interface and straightforward scheduling process can make managing social media accounts more efficient.
Scheduling Flexibility: The ability to schedule posts across multiple platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and at specific times is essential. Users like having the flexibility to plan their content calendar in advance.
Analytics and Insights: Access to analytics and insights helps users understand their audience better, track engagement metrics, and refine their social media strategy over time. Visualizations and data summaries make it easier to interpret the results.
Customer Support: Responsive customer support that can address technical issues or provide guidance on using the platform effectively is highly valued. Users want to know that assistance is available when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cost Concerns: Users may feel that the base price of the tool should encompass all the necessary features for effective social media scheduling. Paying extra for features can make the overall cost prohibitive, especially for individuals or small businesses on a tight budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout Social makes it easy to do social media marketing! By having a platform where I can schedule things, connect all the accounts I care about, write posts, leverage advocacy, use AI, and publish things to the channels that matter to me, I can manage our socials on top of my other projects. Sprout Social's support team is responsive and will send you additional help if you need it; they have been instrumental in helping me navigate their broad help centers. We use Sprout Social almost daily and see the value it can provide to lean marketing teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout Social's help center can be difficult to navigate, and they do not provide onboarding support for users in my payment tier. As a platform and Advocacy user, there were many workflows we had to understand how to do in the tool. As wonderfully useful as Sprout Social is, implementing it as a team of 1 was difficult, and I had to spend many hours troubleshooting different things in the platform. This is one of the most comprehensive and best-designed social media management tools I have seen. It is a joy to use—I actually look forward to scheduling posts and responding to customers because the process is so much easier than it was before I had Sprout Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be really helpful to have more AI-driven tools within the software for tagging, building listening topics, and just generally aiding in the process of managing social media accounts. Also would love the ability to group posts with different posting times or slightly different content into a single bundle.
Listening tools are very expensive and hard to break through the noise to actionable insights if you are a small to mid sized brand Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Sprout Social for 2 years, and I have been incredibly impressed with it's ease of use, quality and frequency of new features, and customer support from my account manager and the support team. I spend most of my time using the Publishing, Smart Inbox, and Reports features, and have always found these to be solid and constantly improving with new updates. The Sprout Social time are also noticeably very good at taking on customer feedback and using it to drive their updates and improvements. As an avid user who spends at least 2 hours on Sprout every day, I have very little negatives to say on the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't get on as well with the mobile app and find it to be a less user friendly than the desktop app, but thankfully I mostly use this on my laptop anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout has a clean, simple and intuitive interface and main navigation. It makes it easy for new users to learn. At the same time the tool is feature packed and customizable. I love the reporting section and how easy it is to sort and filter with quick responsiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The CSM support could be improved. The CSMs get reassigned every year or two even if they don't leave the company. As soon as one gets to know us, they leave the account and then a new person is asking all the same intro exploratory questions again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the calendar and posting options. The calendar makes it so easy to see what we have planned for upcoming campaigns and what still needs to be done. We don't use some of the features as much as we could or should, like all the data information, but it is super helpful that have that information there if I want to know what type of posts are getting the most interaction. I also like how you can see the most popular times to post. Starting to use Sprout was also very easy and when I have had questions, customer support has been great. I use Sprout almost every day to make sure I'm staying current with our social posts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really the only issue i've run into, is the cropping feature for images or getting images to be the right size for Instagram. I wish there was a scale button, instead of only the crop feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a 'department of one' in my organizaton, Sprout is a super valuable tool. I really like it's easy to use and flexible scheduling capabilities, which allows me to plan and automate our posts with ease. The tagging feature is also extremely valuable to me, as it makes it super easy to filter posts to ensure I am sending out a balanced content and makes the reporting for the varies involved stakeholders super easy. The built-in Instagram grid planner is also standout feature for me. Finally, the reporting functionality is quite robust and flexible, making it easy to get the in-depth insights that drive our social media strategy forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My biggest dislike is probably the mobile app. I find it to be a bit messy and it lacks some of the essential features of the desktop version, which can really put a stop to on-the-go social management (and isn't that the point of an app?) Like especially the fact that if you accidentally clear a notification saying it is time to post to Instagram, for example, then that is just gone and you cannot find the post in the app anymore. You have to go back to the desktop version to find the post and resend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout Social truly feels like a one-stop tool for many of the things I do every day in the social space. I can quickly see what's coming up on our schedule, make changes, monitor conversations, and collaborate with the team in the same platform, which is really great. I feel that Sprout stays on top of social media manager needs and trends in the space, and I trust that they're giving us the best they've got. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only consistent struggle is reporting. There have been many new features, and for quick, simple reporting it's great. But I often find myself piecing together Sprout reporting with other channels that I manage and/or have access to. It's very difficult to centralize ALL reporting, so I get it. I like that it keeps me organized. It helps me to remember what is coming up in my calendar. It's easy to implement strategies and the reporting is awesome! I use it every single day for my job and it helps me a ton. I also like the new features that are being added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like any platform, it's not perfect and sometimes has frustrations. When I have to reauthorize accounts and it turns into a much bigger process -- it can become annoying. Sometimes scheduling just doesn't work or glitches. Posts don't push through, etc. Certain limitations to Sprout as well, but all minor things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout Social has saved us so much time and money over the years. It's become such an integral part of our daily process. The team works flawlessly within the software and then it makes our communication with clients super clear and removes any question about content calendars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there were a way for clients to comment on a post using the link they are provided so they can leave comments on posts to provide feedback in one place without having to be a paying member of the team. It doesn't make sense to pay $200 a month for a client to leave feedback, but if this were to become a free feature, it would be amazing! Like comments in Canva.
I'd love more one on one learning opportunities for our team so we can make sure we're using the entire software at its fullest capability. I want to be able to ask questions as they come up. I know they showed us around when we first signed up but now after being a customer for 3 years I'm ready to build on what we've been using Sprout for up to this point. Connecting and scheduling social media has never been easier. I have used several platforms for social and find this to be among the best for ease of use, reporting and staying up to date with the latest features.
The reporting is excellent, easy to use and customize and I'm able to give my client an excellent overview and snapshot of their social channels' performance.
The many features are carefully considered, it seems. Sprout doesn't offer new features simply to offer new features. They are built with UX in mind and are relevant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At times, particularly when there are new feature rollouts or updates, it will be glitchy, not save and generally act up. But those have been few and far between in the three years I've used the platform.
It's also rather expensive if you don't use all the features. I think some different packages/bundles and flexibility would make pricing more attractive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the most valuable tools for us is the reporting functions within Sprout! We've tried other marketing tools before and have not found one with the depth of information that Sprout reporting gives in such an easy-to-understand way. Another thing that is super helpful is the optimal send time suggestions. This is one of the things that we use to have to go find manually or make our best guess but Sprout has it built in for you! We have been users of Sprout for almost five years now and our team uses it daily to manage social media for more than 20 clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think sometimes communication is lacking when there are issues. For example, we've been having some issues with our reporting (which is unfortunate because it's one of our favorite things about Sprout) and after reaching out we found out it was a known issue but we had heard nothing about it. Another thing that would be super helpful is if we could schedule content to recycle or repeat automatically without having to schedule it individually or manually put in the repeat dates. Ever since Sprout was implemented in our social media operation, it has been a game changer in terms of agility and practicality. Since we have other tools aligned with Sprout, the visualization of social media cases has been optimized, and it is now easier to treat them and reply to customers. We thought it would be a pain to implement another tool into our routine but it has been the easiest one so far. Very intuitive to use, and has some nice guides for new users. When integrated into other products (like, in my case, Salesforce) the refresh rate can be quite annoying at times. When opening up social media posts, sometimes we are not able to find recent info (new tweets, replies from customers) because there is a delay of 5-6 hours until the feed refreshes. Social media replies also don't follow much of a pattern when they are up in Sprout... some times we send replies to customers and they show up right away, other times they take just as much as the time mentioned above. This happens very often but since our demand is medium to high, this hasn't been a proper issue but it is indeed something to be looked up to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout Social is a comprehensive social media management tool that offers a variety of fantastic features:
- The platform provides in-depth analytics and customizable reports, which help me understand my social media performance and audience engagement.
- I can schedule posts across multiple social media platforms and the platform also suggests optimal posting times based on audience engagement data. Which is one of my favourite features!
- Sprout integrates with various other tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Bitly, and customer support platforms, which helps my team create a more cohesive marketing strategy.
- While I don't use this service much at all it still seems like Sprout's implementation is great. The Smart Inbox consolidates messages from all connected social media accounts into a single stream, making it easier to manage and respond to customer inquiries and interactions.
- Interface is user-friendly.
- Plentiful resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not a whole lot to dislike:
- Would be using their social listening tools if they werent so pricey. Competitors are significantly cheaper.
- I am unable to get competitor reports for LinkedIn.
- Despite its super user-friendly interface, there can be a learning curve for new users, particularly for those who are not familiar with social media management tools.
- Sprout is expensive, especially for small businesses or individuals. Its pricing plans may be out of reach for some users compared to other more affordable social media management tools. However, the plethora of features, tools, reporting, analytics, and resources make it highly worth it for bigger enterprises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
