Quinn Lewis, a senior RHP/3B at West Bloomfield High School, will be signing to play baseball at Albion College, Michigan. He will pursue a degree in Finance.
Quinn has been playing sports since he was four years old. As a child he played every sport imaginable, but baseball was always his favorite. From an early age, Quinn played all over the field, from outfield to catcher. As he got older, it was clear that pitching was his true calling. From Marshbank Park to Cooperstown, West Bloomfield to MSU to all over Georgia, Quinn has excelled (and hit home runs) at every level.
Quinn started his baseball journey at West Bloomfield on junior varsity his freshman year. On varsity, he held a .87 ERA his junior year and hopes to show similar success during his senior season. Quinn received 6 offers to play baseball in college during his junior and senior years, and is excited to play both 3rd base and pitch at the next level.
“First, I would like to thank my mom. She’s not exactly the biggest sports person, but I’ve dragged her to dusty ball fields all across the country and she’s always rooting me on. I’d like to thank my brother Dean, for coming to my games, playing catch, and putting up with my brotherly shenanigans. Next, I’d like to thank my dad. He coached me for many years, and if you’ve never had a parent as a coach, you have no idea how much work they put in and how much stress it puts them under. Etched in my brain is the phrase ‘Do it right, or do it again.’ Looks like I finally did it right. Of course, I have to give thanks to my teammates and coaches I’ve had an opportunity to share time with at West Bloomfield. GO BRITS!”
