Usually, a CD has only a few really good tracks on it. You know, the ones that really grab you with either a special set of lyrics, or a set of chords, or melody that makes you hit the replay button over and over again. This one by Justin Hayward has at least 7. Lyrically, this is probably his best songwriting effort outside of the Moody Blues. Musically, his progression of sounds, notes, and chords is magical. While much of the success of these songs depends on how they are finally mixed in the studio, that too is superb with no one instrument taking over the others on a track. I Heard it, The Promised Land, It's Not Too Late, Something To Believe In, Troubadour, & Billy just totally blew me away, either for the lyrics, or the music, or both. The lyrics on It's Not Too Late, Something To Believe In, & Billy are more than insightful, they're mystical. It's as if Hayward got in touch with the Universe and downloaded them into his soul prior to creating them. Well done, Justin!

The song "All Is Not Lost" became my refrain after my first drug-induced suicide attempt. I continue to sing that song and "Less is More" as I make steady progress in my Recovery. When I'm down, Justin lifts my mood. Life has been complicated these last 22 years since I was diagnosed, but now when it feels like when I am lost, the time is not past, and there's a spark of Hope still burning. I've been collecting MB albums since Threshold of a Dream and Hayward in particular since Blue Jays, but this one had slipped by. And when I came home from the Medicine floor where the Ortho Surgeons worked for a week to restore use of my hand, there was the Amazon package that somehow found its way into my hospital bag before I returned to the MedCenter for my 15th Psych admission. Miracles DO happen. Thank you, Amazon!

I agree with the 5 star reviews. It’s a beautiful album. I just gave it a first run through, having only previously heard “Broken Dream” and “Sometimes Less is More” from youtube videos. Normally, I need time to let new music grow on me, but not this one. Any Moodys or Justin Hayward fan will love having this.

Justin covers the waterfront with all sorts of different genres of songs. All are beautiful. Some are sweet and a bit painful while others are fun and danceable. I adore this CD. This CD and Justin's View From The Hill are amazing works of art.
Quite truthfully, not a fan of Blue Grass, BUT, the way Justin sings Blue Grass makes it so sweet and lovely. That says something when someone with a bit of an English accent and a bit of an American twang sings Blue Grass and sends it to the very top of the heap of singers. BUY IT!

The Moody Blues were a special band, opening our minds to what I call "etheric rock." Justin Hayward, front man didn't slow down with his solo albums. This is a thoughtful & beautiful set! Highly recommended!

Love the album (CD), it was used, so noticeable wear or age, but plays well that is what matters most!

If you like the Moody blues you will love this solo album by Justin Hayward. Every song is fantastic. Even my 18 yr old son listens to it. Download it now. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 15, 2021
This cd is just as good as all other Justin's albums, and worth the money.
Somebody however, commented that it had been made just for the Americans, well, I disagree.
It was still recorded in Italy, like the others, and is great. The only main difference I can see, is that it was produced by a different guy, an American I think. It is just as good as all the others, produced by the Italian.
At the moment Justin is touring the States, and although I haven't seen him live, I hope he does another British tour, especially as being 73, I hope I'm still around!......

Ich habe diesen Sänger der legendären Moody Blues
Immer sehr geliebt. Das ist ganz große Kunst. Da reicht die heutige Musik einfach nicht heran. Das hat sehr viel mit guter Bildung zu tun.
