Police: Roswell Man Killed Wife, Himself In Murder-Suicide

Sharon Wilkins, 54, was killed by her husband Dan Wilkins, 65, who then turned the gun onto himself as police arrived onto the scene.

The Sandy Springs Police Department has identified the man who shot and killed his wife before taking his own life in a murder-suicide Wednesday morning.

Police say Dan Wilkins, 65, of Roswell, is the estranged husband of Sharon Wilkins, 54, who was shot and killed just before 9 a.m. Aug. 13 in the northern part of Sandy Springs, said Sandy Springs police spokesperson Capt. Steve Rose.

Rose said Wilkins came to the home at 7545 Chaparral Drive, which belonged to Sharon Wilkins’ mother, and shot his wife multiple times before turning the gun onto himself as police arrived onto the scene.
