Such a cute spot. Came here for social hour with a friend, stayed for dessert. Everything was yummy and street parking was easy (at 5:30pm on a Friday). We’ll be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had gone to Mother Tongue for brunch with a friend a few months ago and didn't love it. So, I was surprised when that same friend said we should go back for dinner because it had improved - I'm glad we did! There were four of us this time and everyone agreed that the flavors were delicious. We tried a bunch of different dishes but my favorites were the Toasted Walnut Muhammara Spread, Steak Tartare, Moqueca and Lamb Neck. Plus, the service was great and the manager, Ryan, was very welcoming. I don't do fine dining often, but I'd bring someone back here for a special occasion. Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles and I am telling everybody. My fav dish is the steak tartar and the deconstructed summer rolls (they go by a much fancier name). I’ve never been let down here and even sent my VIP boss there during a Cali visit and she continues to rave about it months later. Pro tip: ask for Erin to be your waitress. Every person on their staff has been perfectly wonderful, but Erin brings a little something extra. I believe she used to run a food blog and her joy and expertise in all things culinary really contribute to an experience where you know you’re being taken care of. I always feel like a king when I come here. Incredible spot, tasty food and meticulous atmosphere.
