Brief Synopsis

Ballerina Sarah Gantz moves into a New York apartment after breaking up with her boyfriend and her new neighbor, newspaper columnist Lou Friedlander, is instantly attracted to her. When Sarah learns that she is terminally ill, she goes against her doctor's advice to stop dancing and continues with her career. Lou starts writing an article about her struggle, and as he is working on it, he and Sarah fall in love.
