Based on a true events, this movie teach us that our values and faith are in top of everything. Is important to compete and try to win with the best of your abilities and as a team and learn what tto do if you loose. De La Salle is a Christian high school where their football team had a winning streak of 151 games, the longest in any sport in the world. Then, it happened. Jim Cavizel (Passion of the Christ), stars as the team coach. Arrogance and selfishness has no room in our life specially when you want to succeed. God will provide in unsuspected ways. Give the Lord a chance and also this movie to be a part of your experience

VERY powerful movie! It starts with the loss of the longest winning streak in the game of football, so how do you pull an entire movie after that? But they did, and it was amazing.
It ISN'T all about winning. It's also about HOW you win. There are many Scriptural references, so if that bothers you, it may not be the movie for you. I, however, left the pre-screening very thoughtful, and that happens very rarely. If a movie makes you think about your life and how you can make better choices, it's a movie worth seeing. I'll definitely watch it again. Great for the entire family!

Overall a great movie. I was a little bit disappointed to find out that it isn't entirely true -- some characters are fictional and some of the games they played are out of order.. i.e.. in the movie they play the other Big High school team after they had already lost -- in reality that game they played (and won) was part of "the streak". I would still recommend the movie.. but as an Inspirational Hollywood fictional movie and not a True Story movie.

I rarely see movies in the theater because of the 15-20 minutes of previews of raunchy movies and the excess cost of tickets.
You can buy this Blu-ray DVD combo for the cost of the movie.

But this Movie I did take my wife to see and was not disappointed. The Blu-ray and it's extra features make it a great Christmas gift too.
I bought one for myself and for my son-in-law who's a Texas HS football Asst.Coach.

This movie is a wonderful story of a coach who had passed up the money and fame to stick with the young men he had been training in high school. His players really start to show the character that he wants when times get the toughest. If some of our professional athletes would act the way the characters in this movie did, I think the world of sports would be better off!

It was a movie our whole family could enjoy together, both girls and boys, from my 10 year old daughter to my 13 and 15 year old boys. It made me cry, made me laugh and kept my interest the whole time. You finish watching it feeling good as it delivers a meaningful message. My son said it was his favorite movie and we all highly recommend it!

A young coach turns a losing high school football program around to go undefeated for 12 consecutive seasons.
I loved it, which I really did not expect. I was told that it was "something about 'it's not all about winning, blah blah'", so I had pretty low expectations. VERY powerful movie! It starts with the loss of the longest winning streak in the game of football, so how do you pull an entire movie after that? But they did, and it was amazing.

When the defense held at the end of the movie reminded me of our teams last stand against the same size team. Much bigger and faster but our team attacked the larger runner and actually put him on the sideline and from there, on the 5 yard line we stopped them and won the game. It is a great movie and I recommend everyone to watch.
