DAZN RELEASES OFFICIAL TRAILER FOR DOCUMENTARY FILM THE PHENOMENON : THE RISE, FALL & REDEMPTION OF RONALDO

LONDON, 3 October 2022 – DAZN has today released the trailer for The Phenomenon, a Zoom Sports and DAZN Studios production in association with Beyond Films.  The documentary film, which will be premiered in Madrid on 14 October, answers questions that have been shrouded in mystery for decades: what really happened before the 1998 World Cup Final; why he had that crazy haircut in 2002; how he fought back from being told he would never play again aged 24; and what it was like to reach such stratospheric fame so young – becoming the Michael Jordan of football and signing a lifetime deal with Nike.  With firsthand accounts from “O Fenomeno” himself, this is a story of resilience, determination and phenomenal footwork.

The documentary delves into the incredible highs and the immense lows experienced by the original Greatest of All Time, “G.O.A.T”, drawing on candid interviews, personal footage and direct testimonies from Ronaldo and his family, as well as legendary teammates and rivals including Roberto Carlos, Zinedine Zidane, Diego Simeone, Paolo Maldini, Christian Vieri and Romario.

With his trademark smile, Ronaldo remains a legend and an inspiration to players and spectators the world over.
