For the first time in my memory we left the table with unfinished dishes! We were leaving Beacon soon and could not take leftovers. We had a nice breakfast and no lunch. Having been warned about this place we ordered one less appetizer and one...less main course. The serving for zucchini was typical..six pieces but the caprese came on a platter! Sure, some of this is presentation, but if there was a little less pepper and cheese, no one would have noticed considering the price. The waitress was kind enough to tell us each main dish we were ordering came with a dish of pasta in plain sauce and a side salad and she was kind enough to suggest we have the salad as a course before the main course, She then brought out bowls of salad. To be fair, it’s the one pedestrian dish we had but add the dressings and have it with the great toasted bread with the infused oil that is placed on the table when you sit down and, remembering you are not paying extra for the salad, and one begins to understand this is not the typical farm to table restaurant where included greens are a little side item on the main plate! [Note m: Love these farm to table restaurants by the way, we ate at a couple of 5 star places, but the portion sizes are what they are.] Then the main courses came out. The pasta dish came out in a huge bowl and to be fair you may get the same size in New York, but the delicious Sorrentino type main course, with, again, a BOWL of pasta with sauce (to reiterate, a bowl of salad and a bowl of pasta is included in the price! If the delicious Sorrentino course was a fourth less in size, or so, no one would notice! Oh, a side dish of three tasty meatballs, not two, was only $7.00. I told the manager (owner) he was nuts! He was losing money they could easily earn by just offering human portions, though by enumerating the items he got the joke(whew). The fact is, this restaurant has been in business for over twenty years and the locals come here knowing what to expect. Unfortunately we had to skip dessert but one was carried by us. In a bowl of course! As to prices overall.. just compare to the other highly rated Beacon restaurants, which says it all. This is one of the best meals in quality and particularly in price in the Cold Spring-Beacon area. The biggest problem is that they do not want to open a branch in Brooklyn, the Bronx or Queens. Sigh.More

My wife and I, like most Americans, went a long time without a great in-restauant dining experience. Now that we all can begin returning to our favorate restaurants, we went back to Brothers and we are glad we did. Owner and Executive Chef Ken Berisha...was there to welcome us back, and we got our favorte window table. We began with the calamari (it had been so long since we last had this!). My wife ordered the chicken parm and I went for the fruits of the sea, one of my preferred entres. The moment of joy was realizing that the quality of the meals never skipped a beat from when we last dined months ago. Brothers is back!More

We were in Beacon for our 40th anniversary weekend and chose Brothers because we didn’t want bar food, which seemed to be what the bulk of the restaurants in the area offered. Our food was absolutely delicious, came in huge portions, and was reasonably priced....Even a cocktail and a huge glass of white wine was only $18 total. Highly recommended!More

We were really impressed with the high quality, wonderfully prepared dinners. I had the Chicken Ala Brothers prepared in garlic and oil over penne. I asked them to leave out the plum tomatoes and Anita suggested artichokes instead. What a winning combination. My husband who...is really fussy about veal ordered veal Francese over pasta and he raved about it. For an appetizer, he had the mussels and said they were among the best he has ever had. Service was friendly and helpful. We were visiting Beacon for the day and found the Main Street to be vibrant and fun.More

This was my first time at this restaurant, and was glad that I followed the recommendations of several locals. The reception is very friendly and it is definitely a well- run family business. I was very hungry so they brought the salad and bread rolls...first. The signature chicken dish wAs large and very good: finely pounded chicken pieces mixed in a white wine sauce with tomatoes and artichokes. Took the remainder back to the hotel as it could be enough for two meals. I would definitely come back, as the rest of the menu looked varied and equally appetizing! A nice break after three months of staying At home in Nyc,during the pandemic. They had safe outdoor dining!More

Ordered a take-out from Brothers Trattoria as recommended by a former Beacon native now living elsewhere...Selected the Brothers' Best Pizza and Best Salad, and mozzarella sticks. Huge disappointment given puzzling glowing reviews. This is New York, but the pizza was a mound of vegetables, little...cheese, and poor crust. Perhaps a pizza shop would deliver as one expects in NY. Salad acceptable. Mozzarella sticks horrible. Try somewhere else for pizza. Perhaps their extensive menu for in-house dining might be a better option, but we are not willing to give it a go again.More

In this time of Covid, one way to dine at a favorite place is on the street if outside seating is available. Unless, there's a patio setting off the street. The really good news is that Ken Berisha, Owner and Executive Chef, has opened a...completely new off the street patio. Spacious, glistening new, and QUIET!! No street noise and nosy passersby. My wife and I enjoyed Ken's patio on its opening day, and the calm we enjoyed enhanced the superb meal greatly. If you are in Beacon, and truly want to escape the street seating situation, then you can find a wonderful oasis at Brothers. It is a solution that my wife especially wanted as an alternative to eating on the street, and our recent experience made her VERY happy!More

Hit or miss experience. As per other reviews, this restaurant can be good but it can also be mediocre. Some of the dishes are good but there are a lot of bland dishes. The common denominator seems to be large portions and average food.

We were here for a weeknight dinner. The chicken marsala was a little thin, both the fillet and the sauce. The penne alla vodka was a touch on the creamy side. Both tasted okay but texture and presentation matter too. If you are ordering wine...by the glass the choice is meager; one choice of each type, merlot, cab, etc. And there's no chianti. The brands offered for wines by the glass are lower tier but top tier priced. The service was excellent and an owner or manager also checked in with us. The front dining room (not the pizza side) is quite nice looking but when four or more tables have diners, the noise level in the room is quite high.More

Brothers has been our favorite restaurant in Beacon for years. We usually come for lunch but have also been here for dinner.I can never decide between the Warm Seafood Insalata ( the appetizer portion is more than enough) or the eggplant. My husband loves the...Orchiette Pasta with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage . We've eaten in the dining room, had takeout to bring to Hudson Valley Shakespeare, and catered a family dinner here. The tiny private dining room is the rear is gorgeous.More

Excellent traditional Italian comfort food like you were in Brooklyn at a very reasonable price. Great tomato sauce like your Italian grand mother would make. We ate outside on the patio and it was delightful. Good choice in Beacon. Try it .

Visited Beacon with family. Needed a restaurant that had food options for both vegetarian and gluten free dining. Brothers was delicious! Service was great. Everyone commented on how delicious their meals were. I had a gnocchi dish that was amazing. My husband had a veal...Dish that was tender and flavorful. One of the best Italian restaurants we’ve been to in a while. Highly recommend.More

I have eaten here a number of times. Has always been a good meal, and service has been friendly as soon as you come in with a greeting from owner. Backroom dining is nice and quaint full service. Front is more casual pizza setting. FYI,...my favorites are chicken scarpiello and chicken parm. (We have been ordering take out lately due to shutdown). Enjoy it, I did and do!More
