Are ASVEL and Olympiakos interested in Evan Fournier? This rumor circulated over the weekend, especially during the EuroLeague Final Four in Berlin. It seems plausible since the French player had a very challenging season and a half with the Knicks, where he was relegated to the end of the bench. However, Fournier’s representatives, without specifically addressing this rumor, confirm that a return to Europe is not currently a priority for the French shooting guard. Although he will undoubtedly be a “free agent” this summer, since the Pistons can release him by forgoing the $19 million team option they hold on his last contract year, Evan Fournier wants to continue his career in the NBA. At just 31 years old, he is still keen on playing in the league.
League sources say that OG Anunoby is also expected to remain with the Knicks, although he doesn’t provide the type of scoring punch the Sixers are seeking anyway.
