If "None" can win worst song, I'll vote for "All" for best song.
The best song on this EP is without a doubt My Friend Fats. Not only is it the best song on Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People, it very well may be the best Primus song period.
Lyrically, Musically, it’s a tour de force, I have no idea why they never play it any more. It would have been the first dance at my wedding if it wouldn’t have immediately led to my divorce.
My sister in law is getting married this weekend, maybe I’ll put it on and blame one of the kids.

He’s a hell of a guy
Damn, this is a hard one. Considering this was the first we heard of new material after being broken up for about 3-5 years (damn that time period without new primus was rough on 18yo me) I thought each of these songs were absolutely fire and slapped my nuts off. I actually got this EP for free when my friend brought me on to the TRL equivalent of the Fuse network back in 2003. Got to shake Les Claypools hand! It was clammy, and I was surprised he didn't grip my hand like a monster.
Anyways, I would say 4/5 songs on here are my favorite. Pilcher Squad being my least favorite, but only cuz it's so short; it has the same energy of Is It Luck? That some people don't like, I can see why. But Dainty Bride and Rapscallion, holy shit, such great songs, Ler us on monster on the former track. My friend fats is the best lyrically, overall, but probably my favorite is Mary the Ice Cube. Just absolutely loved the silliness in the lyrics juxtaposed with the sadness and atmosphere of the music. Don't cry over spilled milk, but do mourn a melted ice cube.

Honestly, this whole EP is my favorite thing Primus has ever done. But if I had to pick one song, it would be Carpenter.

This might be the hardest one yet, My Friend Fats is my favourite. Can’t think of a worthy worst song and judging by the comments I’m gonna say Pilcher’s Squad is underrated it’s probably my second favourite!
