DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (VDVS) announced Wednesday that the department’s Danville office has a new permanent location.
The Danville benefits office — which is now located in the Piney Forest Commons Shopping Center at 441 Piney Forest Road, Suite B — opened to the public on Tuesday, June 1, according to VDVS.
Meanwhile, the former VDVS Danville office at 139A Deer Run Road is permanently closed.

For military veterans and their family members who want to schedule an in-person or virtual appointment with a VDVS Veterans Service Representative, call (804) 774-8135 or (804) 773-0917. According to officials, walk-ins are not accepted at this time.
However, the department says in-person appointments are available at the Martinsville Workforce Center from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on most Wednesdays The Martinsville Workforce Center is located at 233 West Commonwealth Boulevard.
