Watch: Azmatullah Omarzai rattles Aussies with two wickets in two balls

Fast bowler Azmatullah Omarzai got rid of opener David Warner (18 of 29 balls) and wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis (0) to give denting blows to Australia who were chasing the 292-run target set by Afghanistan in a crucial encounter. The incident occurred in the 9th over of the innings when Azmatullah first cleaned up Warner with his inswinging delivery that sneaked through between bat and pad to uproot the off stump. He didn't stop there as he came up with another fine ball and this time a perfect outswinger for a right-handed Inglis.

NEW DELHI: Afghanistan pacer Azmatullah Omarzai came up with two stunning back-to-back deliveries to rattle Australia's chase during an ODI World Cup match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Azmatullah got rid of opener David Warner (18 of 29 balls) and wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis (0) to give denting blows to Australia who were chasing the 292-run target set by Afghanistan in a crucial encounter.

The incident occurred in the 9th over of the innings when Azmatullah first cleaned up Warner with his inswinging delivery that sneaked through between bat and pad to uproot the off stump. He didn't stop there as he came up with another fine ball and this time a perfect outswinger for a right-handed Inglis, who played it away from the body and found a thick edge which went straight to Ibrahim Zadran at first slip.

Aussies, who were struggling at 49/2 after 8 overs, reduced to 49/4 in no time.

Afghanistan vs Australia: Did you know that cricket is popular among the Taliban?

Earlier, centurion Zadran played through the entire innings with an unbeaten 129 from 143 balls guiding Afghanistan to their highest-ever World Cup score of 291 for five.
The 21-year-old Zadran reached his century in 131 balls, hitting seven fours, marking his fifth one-day international century in 27 games. Zadran also became the first Afghan player to score a century in the history of the World Cup.
