This places is very easy to reach. The pool and facilities are amazing and well kept. The cabanas are well equipped if you want to cook on site. I think their prices for their plants are ridiculous. Lifeguards are present and the area is very safe.

Relaxation and doing what most Trini like, cooking their favorite pot/meal.The site is just a very beautiful scene surrounded by forest. You can fish in the ponds, and let me say you catch fishes. Its very exciting. For all those wildlife photographers this is your haven.Birds are plentiful, herons, aningha or snake bird, parrots, kingfishers, and swallows just to name some. You can actually take pics of these birds in their natural environment hunting for food. The site is as clean as it comes. The toilet facilities are the cleanest and in close proximity to the sheds.Their's a kids play park. The cost is very reasonable for enjoying a place that took a lot of planning and money into developing. The landscape is lovely.Enjoy...

The garden is very beautiful and well maintained. However, they need to manage the times in which they cut that grass and use the leaf blowers. From the time i arrived at 10am, a man was using a leaf blower, he finished at 3pm. This supposed to be a place for relaxation. It was extremely disturbing and could have been heard in the distance no matter where we moved. This activity should be limited to the morning period at least up to 9am.

As a family we love La Vega. The huts are located in such a way that the children have a lot of fun fishing and you can share the fun with them or just relax and keep an eye on them from the hut. It is a day out that we all really look forward to.

In the past few visits, however, we have had two problems:

1) Extremely loud music, which was not allowed before, is now the norm. We have had three cars close to us "competing" to see who could play the loudest music. It got so loud the birds flew away. Watching the birds is part of the experience we enjoy so we were very disappointed about it and left with a headache.

2) The people who take over your hut. You pay for a hut but the rule says anybody can come and fish by the water. The problem is when you are "targeted" by a large group who start by sitting one child next to the hut fishing and then start taking over the whole thing, more and more people from the group come, they take all your water side space, put stuff on your table, don't listen to your polite remarks and you end up having a choice of starting an argument or leaving. We can't start an argument with a group of ten people so we have to leave.
All this could be avoided if there was a little supervision in the huts area. It's a pity such a fabulous place is ruined by this kind of thing.

Visited La Vega Garden Centre and spent a lovely day with friends. We rented a covered picnic spot and spent the day fishing, kayaking and playing games. What a lovely estate with all its flower and fauna. I would recommend this place.

Spent the day at La Vega. Rented one of their covered picnic spots and spent the day fishing and BBQ. very relaxing and reasonably priced. Had the weather been better I would have explored more of the grounds, I plan to go again.

Whether you're there to buy plants or to hang out for the day you wont be disappointed. The grounds are really beautiful and the sheds for shade are lovely. Ask for one near the pond!

Visited La Vega with my kids (all very young), family and friends....the experience was wonderful, scenery is absolutely breath taking!!
The estate is very clean, the atmosphere.... therapeutic!!!!...my kids had a ball...so much so that they didn't want to leave and beg to return. Fishing added a thrill to the day, with the kids getting excited every bite they get.
My next visit will definitely include a ring stove since cooking on site will add that extra zest to the event. Huts are available and are spacious and clean. The drive to the estate is just a hint of what the estate has to offer...luscious trees, fruits and more!!!
La Vega....you will be seeing me again...very soon!!!
