Stayed in Walnut room. Beautifully quiet and well decorated. Luxury at an affordable price. Great breakfast. Had a wonderful time visiting the house when we arrived then exploring the grounds after closing time. Would definitely visit again.

I've been to Hever Castle some years ago and really wanted my daughter to see it! She was absolutely thrilled, being a Tudor enthusiast. This is a f family castle, quite small compared to other castles, but very well preserved in the Tudor style. The grounds are superb! You could spend all day admiring the flowers, plants, trees, lake, statuary, little waterfalls! Brilliant! Highly recommended!

I want to say a massive thanks to the team of Hever Castle for their support, involvement and care they showed us while helping me to organise and run my birthday party. I had no previous experience and have never been to similar events so I didn't know what to expect. But if I had any expectations, Hever Castle and the team exceeded them by far. It was amazing. My family and friends were speechless from the place, the athmosphere and welcoming team. My positive experience begun with the astonishing job the team did showing the place, taking me through all the details during preparations and making sure all will go perfectly. We were very warmly welcomed from the very first minutes, and for the entire duration of our event. The service at the bar and during the reception and dinner were also excellent. Our children were happy to receive their snack bags and drinks and get a freedom of playing on perfectly set grounds. A guided tour took us back to the times of Henry VIII and his wives. Not just interiors, some origined from those times, others created by William Waldorf Astor, but mainly the guides helped us to see the past and touch the history. The evening created for us at Hever Castle by this brilliant team will stay in memories of myself and my guests for many, many years.

The Castle has a wonderful and interesting history and has been lovingly restored and maintained. The audio guide provided fascinating commentary and in particular, David Starkey’s input, summarising the Tudor dynasty was excellent - a succinct account of all the players, explaining the rise and fall of the Tudors in such easily understandable, insightful, historical facts. The gardens were also beautiful with a stunning display of flowers and shrubs. Highly recommend a visit to Hever.

Over night stay at the castle. Well impressed with the whole set up, from the carpark staff, guides, kiosk, kitchen, waiters and waitresses, reception and gardeners. We had the great pleasure in speaking to a lot of you over 24 hours. Food, drinks, gardens and our room (Hazel) especially was brilliant, felt spoilt. Well done team Hever Castle 20/10. The😃😃😃

Had long wanted to visit Hever given it looks so good in photos - wasn’t disappointed! The Anne Boleyn history is also SO interesting. Stunning gardens too including the finest rose garden I’ve ever seen…over 5,000 roses and most seemed to be in full bloom in early July. The Italianate garden was gorgeous to overlooking the lake. It’s a smaller castle to look at from the outside than I expected but so pretty.Inside, the interiors are stunning with the walls clad in heavily carved, dark wood.Copies of letters Henry VIII sent to Anne are on display too. There is a morbidly fascinating room with displays of gruesome torture instruments and executioners swords.These always make me shudder when I think of the wives Henry executed, including poor Anne Boleyn herself.

This is a fabulous place full of rich history, friendly guides in the house. When you enter the house you are given a audio headset this walks through a route and explanations on what your looking at. Note;- some of the rooms you enter have no description so you just wander until you move on to the next room with a number. It is not a issue and there is plenty to see also some areas have extra descriptions to listen to. The Anne Boleyn story was excellent. The torture and restraining instruments are enough to fill you with horror. Hever has beautiful well tended immaculate gardens. A huge team of dedicated gardeners doing a fantastic job. With many different styles of gardening and different ages of garden. The clipped topiary is a lot of fun to see. The boat was not running when we visited Wednesday The pretty cafe unfortunately had no Gluten Free options, for coffee and cake other than a bought in coconut biscuit. This was disappointing luckily we always travel with a back up plan.

Great day out enjoyed the castle and the added addition of the jousting which is always lots of fun and very entertaining. Special shout out to the Skipper of The Lady Astor who took us on a very nice trip round the lake and made our trip very special. The boat trip is very relaxing with stunning views and well worth the ticket money. Would highly recommend as a great family day out and will certainly visit again.

What a fantastic place .Took our 3 grandchildren will definitely be back . The tour of the castle had audio tour available if you wanted with things for the children to do as you went around the castle on their own touchscreens that came with the audio tour . Very good idea as children can sometimes find the tours a bit boring. They absolutely loved it . Beautiful gardens . 2 mazes including a water maze . One of the best childrens playgrounds we have been to aswell. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Food that was available was good and service was excellent. Bargain too as we had a gardeners world 2 for 1 voucher that we were able to use. Well worth the 1hour 20 minute trip to get there .

Absolutely stunning place steeped in history and lore. We saw a bunch of castles this trip but this is the one that really stood out for us. The Italian garden is awe inspiring, the water maze is just fun, the labyrinth is classic, the castle history is fascinating and the grounds are just breathtaking. Even if you are 'castled out' on your trip through England, I strongly encourage you to 'castle up' and spend some hours at Hever Castle.
