If you're like us, you're spending way more time at home for a lot longer than you ever expected! During this time of social distancing and sheltering at home, we've found ourselves running those shows lingering in our queues and searching out new series to add. Here's a new limited series from Acorn TV that we're adding to our queue stat!

What is The Nest about?

The Nest is a new-to-the-U.S. limited series that originally aired on BBC One in early 2020. The surrogacy thriller follows a wealthy couple who are unable to conceive a child themselves. They look to a troubled teenager to be a surrogate, and as you might expect, things do not go smoothly.

The couple's issues transcend the surrogacy, focusing also on a murder investigation, Kaya’s life growing up in foster care, Emily’s grief over her infertility issues and Dan’s business.

The journey unfolds over the course of five episodes.

Who stars in The Nest?

The series stars Martin Compston (Line of Duty) and Sophie Rundle (Bodyguard) as Dan and Emily Docherty, a modern day couple struggling to become parents. When Kaya (Mirren Mack), a young girl who is down on her luck, meets Emily and hears of her plight, she offers to be Emily's surrogate for their last embryo.

This gripping drama also stars Katie Leung (Harry Potter, Chimerica), Shirley Henderson (Happy Valley, Harry Potter), and Kate Dickie (Game Of Thrones, The Witch).
