I have been staying at this hotel since many years now while visiting the VicenzaOro Jewellery show and all my past experiences have been very satisfactory. However my last visit was nothing short of disappointing. The room allocated to me which was over four times the price of their normal rack rate was extremely small and hence not at all comfortable. There was no room to even keep even two large suitcases comfortably. If that was not enough, there used to be no running hot water in the bathroom in the morning. When I complained about this at the reception I was given an unbelievable explanation that since the hotel was full and majority of the guests would be showering at the same time, it is possible that hot water supply would be affected. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in all different kinds of hotels but never ever have I heard this kind of an excuse for lack of running hot water. My recent stay felt like I was let down by a place where I have spent many memorable days over the years.

We stayed there for nearly 4 weeks! The staff made us feel at home and always was there if we needed anything at all. Free breakfast and free WiFi, really helped us out and the location was excellent, right next to the mall. Work out facilities and pool where great, as was all the staff.

The Victoria Hotel and Residence, is a very comfortable, and extraordinarily welcoming hotel and residence in the Vicenza, Veneto region of Italy.

The setting is conveniently situated, next to a major shopping mall - Emisfero, close to public transportation, where the major bus line from in front of the hotel, brings you to the Vicenza train station within fifteen minutes. They offer, spacious, modern hotel rooms that one would typically find in a greater, up-scale hotel. The European style breakfast, was excellent, ample, delightful and extraordinary. The rooms are very comfortable, and offer many modern amenities, including WiFi. This was a memorable stay and one of the best lodging facilities I have experienced in the Veneto Italy region. An extraordinary hotel and residence, I enjoyed my entire "soggiorno" at the Victoria Hotel of Vicenza. Simply put, fantastic, comfortable, with a truly friendly, and welcoming staff. This is my hangout while in Veneto Italy.

False advertisement, even now it still says the spa and wellness centre is open… IT IS NOT.
Quite frankly the manager was rude and very unprofessional and didn’t want to help resolve the issue, all they wanted to do was take my money and not refund me as I booked this hotel mainly for a spa centre experience.
Gym is very dissapointing also.
Can’t really be called a gym just a box room with not much in
Rooms were messy and shower head kept falling off, spraying water everywhere. Wi-Fi does not work either in our apartment.
Just a horrid experience from the moment we arrived, the manager Venessa was very disappointing!

My husband and I have been living in Italy for the past two years and have done our fair share of traveling throughout this county. We stayed at this hotel in July for two nights. This hotel is, by far, the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at in Italy! We had family visit us from the states and requested a room that slept four. We checked in and found a tiny room with literally four beds all packed in! No real room to move about with the beds jammed packed. We found mold growing around the window and an a/c unit that pumped out stale, less than cool air. The room was also very dark, though all the lights were on. We requested another room, one without mold and preferably a kitchennette as they had advertised. The new room they offered us had the same mold problem, was as tightly packed with all the beds and the kitchen was right in the same room as the beds! We declined the new room and cut our stay short one day because of the room quality. The staff was not overly friendly. The ladies running the breakfast barked at you for not knowing where to pick up clean plates. The photos posted on the web are very misleading. The hotel is located next to a big mall -- which may or may not be a good thing for some people. Do not stay here! We made reservations 2 days in advanced and were suprised they had room available. Now we know why! No one who knows about this hotel would ever come back. They probably have issues trying to keep this hotel booked.

I am a 72 year old American of Italian decent who visited Vicenza with my wife for several days. I like to see myself as an "active senior". We made the mistake of staying at the Hotel Victoria.
We booked for a double bed, non smoking room one month in advance. What we got was a room with two hard twin size beds and a kitchenette which we never used. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and after asking for another room which we never got, I had to go to the mall next door and buy cleaning supplies, and cleaned the room as best I could. The hotel clerk kept saying to come back tomorrow, but we never got the room we ordered and was promised. We heard the desk clerk tell other guests the same "come back tomorrow".
The wi-fi quality in the room was very poor. My wife spent hours using her computer, which she needed for work, in the lobby.
The hotel allowed pets and on several occasions, when families with dogs passed in the corridor, there would be growling and dogs trying to fight.
Our room was located in the back of the hotel in another building. Getting there was like walking through a maze, up and down two staircases and long winding corridors.
The breakfast was unremarkable. there was cold cereal, hard stale rolls, and tasteless pastries. As a diabetic my choices were limited. There was only one hot tray with some type of hard egg omlette. On the many days we were there, it was available only on one occasion. I left the top of the tray up on two occasions to signal that the tray was empty, but it was never filled.
One day while sitting and waiting for my wife to join me on the outside deck near the door to the dining area, someone threw a bucket of water at me. The water landed to my left side, hitting the deck and splashing onto the left side of my jeans. As I turned to look inside, I saw a young girl a wearing white shirt hurry past the doorway and go into the kitchen area. I went to the front desk and told the clerk what just happened. The clerk's response was less than appropriate. The clerk refused to speak to the kitchen staff. When I said to call someone in authority, as I considered it an assault and battery, the clerk said it was not appropriate to call them. It was never resolved.
I found the Hotel Victoria had poor room quality, poor wi-fi quality, poor breakfast quality and a staff with serious hostile qualities.
I would never stay there again and I hope this saves someone else from my experience. It is not a four star hotel in my opinion. It is a two to low three star hotel at best.

This hotel claims to be a 4-star property but don't let that fool you. It's anything but. Upon arriving, I was immediately disappointed by the location and the hotel's exterior. It's situated in an area that's not very pleasant and you need a car to get to Vicenza's historical center, so it's not very convenient. Their parking lot was completely consumed by a giant tour bus so I had to park in the lot of a store nearby. Upon check-in, the first thing I was told was that their restaurant was closed for renovation and "maybe you can find some food in the shopping mall down the street". This was a complete surprise because the hotel advertised their restaurant as being open and I intended on eating there since it had been a long day. There was a tiny bar to the left of the check-in desk but no one was working at it, so I had no choice but to drive around this dismal part of the city looking for something to eat and drink. My room was also a let down. The bed was about 8 inches off the floor, and the mattress sat on a crude frame with cheap thin wooden slats. With the bed incredibly low, my head was so close to the floor that it bothered my allergies. The TV remote did not work. The room was too hot and I could not lower the thermostat so I had to open the window (which looked out onto a mildew covered abandoned-looking terrace attached to another building.
The pool they advertised was closed...when a property does not offer the amenities they claim they have, there should be accountability. I paid for a 4-star hotel and got a lousy 1-star hotel that was horribly overpriced. Nothing about this place was appealing. The only thing that went ok was check-out because it went quickly. I would never stay here again and I do not recommend it to others.

Let's start off with the poor air conditioning, not much to say other than it meets the bare minimum of requirements. Next the refrigerator was also not cold, it was housed in this cabinet that was extremely hot pretty much rendering the fridge useless. The bathroom was clean, but after a closer look had Cockroaches around the drains and toilet. Don't mean to complain about electricity but my room on had 1 outlet available, which was also regulated by a access card when you enter the room. The bed was uncomfortable, the shower leaked and the internet sucks. Finally lets talk about the breakfast, canned foods presented as fresh food, stale bread, watered down beverages and no variety. Bottom line is, like many hotels they take advantage of the people the government is taking care of by raising the price. I will finish this office with a good note, the staff was friendly, the pool is nice and it is close to Ederle. Find a different hotel!

I stayed here for one night after returning from a weekend in Florence. Prior to that I was at the Hotel Continental for five nights.

The hotel is ok if you either have a car or are visiting someone in Vicenza who does. I took a cab to the train station the next morning and realized just how far from the main area this hotel was. I was not impressed with the decor, very old and should be renovated. The breakfast was also not too good...I recommend not having it and be sure to tell the front desk so you don't get charged extra.

Positives...well, my mother stayed here for four nights and liked it because she did her shopping and was in need of a break after travelling for a week. She also liked the fact that it was better located for my brother to come visit.

If you are visiting Vicenza to see the town, stay at the Hotel Continental. Much better location, better breakfast and better service.

Hello! I'm not the owner of the hotel but I live in the city of the hotel you will be staying in. I'm from Chicago. I would love to give you a hand In both areas. I've never heard of those chefs but there is an excellent internationally acclaimed Italian chef who speaks perfect English who offers the best cooking classes, as well as private in the area. The ristorante is called Trattoria D'Angelo in piovene Rochette. Look them up! They are excellent. Yes, there are wineries but the best are in the Valdobbiadene area, about 30 min from Venice. A friend of mine organizes day wine tours snd tastings!
