I have an external 4TB drive that I formatted as ExFAT with a 4K blocksize.
I connected it to the ATEM mini pro and have used it several times to record material.
I could find no way to eject it but read that the filesystem was not cached so I could just unplug it.
I have unplugged it and read the files with my Win10 computer several times with no problem.
And I have plugged it back into the ATEM and it finds the disk.
But the last time I did this, I used Win10 to rename 4 of the files.
Now when I plug that drive into the ATEM it does not find the disk anymore.
Win10 reads it fine if I unplug or replug it.
I've tried restarting the ATEM, it still does not find the disk.
Why would changing filenames on another system make the filesystem unreadable on the ATEM?
Very frustrating, now I have no way to record live sessions on that drive.

Update: I just tried completely reformatting the drive with Win10, even changed blocksize to 1024K,
ATEM still will not find the drive.

And of course you reformatted as exFAT?

Yeah, fine, 128K. On my Windows 10 the lowest allocation unit size is 256K.

Well I found a work-around...
I plugged a thumb drive into the ATEM port that was not a format it liked (LED lights yellow).
Unplugged, then re-plugged the drive it would not find before.
It found it!

For a few seconds I thought maybe you had fixed it with 8.5.3...
But NO. A perfectly working drive removed and later plugged back in can not be found.
I've tried the trick that used to work, plugging an odd USB thumb drive in then re plugging the hard drive it won't find again, but now even that doesn't work anymore.
This is the most frustrating thing about this ATEM Mini Pro.
I need to record to a hard drive and whenever I try it doesn't see the drive!

Once you have a drive that works, don't unplug it. Use ftp to copy the files off the drive (a new feature with the 8.6 update)

Correct, but it is in all Mini's (except the Mini) running 8.6
