- BrigBurgBraunau am Inn, Austria48 contributionsNice setting with super equipment. Also possibility for mini golfers. Easily reached from Stadtplatz. - rlffrnkFrankfurt, Germany49 contributionsWhile Braunau looks like the set of a historic film, Mahnstein is situated in front of the house Adolf Hitler was born. There is nothing more to be said about it, any other than that the place reportedly has been a favourite of right-wing and skinhead pilgrims. We did not see any (nor in Braunau).Written 23 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Cary LSan Diego, CA696 contributionsBraunau was a wealthy trading town in Medieval times, when this impressive church was built. It has the third highest steeple in the country, a spectacular Baroque interior and one of the best pipe organs to be found in Europe. Located just off the historic central square of Braunau. Occasionally, visitors are allowed up into the bell tower.Written 9 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cary LSan Diego, CA696 contributionsThis tower, which forms the main entrance into the central square, is a remnant of the Medieval town walls. Like the nearby cathedral, it stands high over the town and is a great reminder of the town's long history.Written 9 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cary LSan Diego, CA696 contributionsThe old town hall in Braunau is a beautifully preserved building from the town Medieval period. The figure on the outside wall is a one-time mayor, known for his extremely long beard (he died when he tripped over it and fell down a flight of stairs). The building still houses the town offices. It is surrounded by other buildings from past centuries, all in excellent condition.Written 9 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
