Sunday marked the fifth anniversary of Tite’s appointment as manager of Brazil.

The now 60-year-old was chosen to replace Dunga after the Seleção’s embarrasing failure to qualify from the group stages of the Copa América Centenario.

Winning the 2019 Copa América has been the highlight of Tite’s reign to date, and he has racked up some outstanding statistics along the way.

After 56 games played, Brazil have 42 wins, 10 draws, and just four defeats under his stewardship. That’s a success rate of 81%.

His record in competitive matches is even more noteworthy, with 26 wins, four draws, and a single defeat in 31 outings.

Of course that loss was a significant one as it came against Belgium at the quarter-final stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Overall, though, it has been pretty smooth sailing with the former Corinthians boss at the helm.

There have been 123 goals scored and a mere 19 conceded to leave Tite with an amazing goal difference of +104 to his credit.

But with the unique demands of the Brazil job, all those numbers will count for little if they fail to win this year’s Copa América on home soil.
