COLUMBUS, Ohio (WJW) — Reality television is coming for Ohio starting this week.

A new show called “Royal Rules of Ohio” is offering up a look at a family with ties to royalty in Ghana, and how they’re navigating their lavish life in Columbus.

So who are you going to be watching? The Aqyekum family, which includes parents Yaw Owusu Agyekum, aka Akili Bobo, and Delali Agyekum and their three daughters in their 20s Thelma, Nana and Brenda. They’re reportedly descendants of two Ghanaian kingdoms.

The sisters are graduates of Ohio University and Kent State University and all have various passions and jobs. The show takes a deep dive into their lives as modern Americans and how that sometimes is at odds with the rules of their Ghanaian community.

While it’s not clear how much the family is worth, they have multiple companies and the patriarch is a real-estate investor. As the show depicts, check out the trailer right here, the family is quite well-off and live in a large mansion.
