  1. GOODBYE

Thanks for your company today. Bit of an omnishambles, as Malcolm Tucker might say.

"England's winless run now looks set to stretch to nine Tests. They had dark days during their 4-0 Ashes defeat but this ranks among them, given West Indies are ranked eighth in the world Test rankings," is my colleague Matthew Henry's rather sobering take on things.

You can read his day three report here...

If you want to browse the scorecard then feel free to do so at your leisure here...

The TMS podcast mentioned below is being put together this very minute and will soon be available to download and listen here...

  2. Can England's women qualify for the World Cup Semi finals?

    Heather Knight

Fancy some more cricket? Course you do - you can't finish the day on a note like that.

England women have won the toss against Bangladesh and decided to bat first in their final group game of the World Cup. A win will see them progress to the semi finals alongside South Africa and Australia. Finish in third place and they avoid the Australians.

  3. Post update

A welcome bit of perspective there, I think.

  4. Post update

    Tim Peach

    BBC Sport in Grenada

As well as the usual review of the day's play and interviews, on the TMS podcast tonight we'll hear from former England bowler Stuart Meaker, who's driven a van load of supplies to the Poland/Ukraine border and is helping refugees with visa applications.

Grommy: Embarrassing. Well done West Indies for reminding England how poor they were in the Ashes. Nothing has changed. Test match team reaching new lows.

  6. Post update

    Michael Vaughan

Former England captain on BT Sport

I don't think there was any dismissal today that couldn't have been avoided. There wasn't one jaffa.

It is just the pressure. The England side can't seem to mentally be able to cope with the pressure.

  7. Get Involved

    #bbccricket

Leo: This England team needs more character and confidence so it doesn’t crack under pressure every time a punch is thrown. If you look at the 2011 side that won the ashes down under the players in that squad would not give up whereas this team seems to.

  8. Post update

    Jonathan Trott

    Ex-England batsman on BT Sport

The first few dismissals were batter aided.

Jonny Bairstow's dismissal was the first ball he'd faced round the wicket. Generally you would just say have a bit of a look. A lot of the time it's just a lack of clarity and they get a split second decision wrong.

Test cricket is about being constantly asked, checked and it is about whether you have the answers.

  9. Post update

Fair to say from the number of thumbs down, the majority of people don't agree with Marcus Trescothick's assessment.

  10. Post update

    Michael Vaughan

Former England captain on BT Sport

Everything is about discipline and making strong, disciplined cricket for long period of times and England just haven't been able to do that for a good period of time now.

  11. 'Don't judge series on one day'

England batting coach Marcus Trescothick, speaking to BT Sport at stumps, said: "Disappointed and gutted. They got more runs than we wanted and we lost too many wickets this afternoon.

"I think the boys are fairly honest about what they have done. In the critical moments in the game we haven't got it right, We can only put our hands admit that and be better.

"Today has not been right but a lot of what we have done has been good for the team and some great performances. Let's not judge it just on today. We had two great Test matches.

"I'll speak with the batters individually, how the tour has gone from them. We will address things, and try to be better. We had two good Test matches. Don't judge the whole series on one day."

Ben: Poor systems and structures make for poor performances. These players are NOT bad, but we have no new selection strategy or team, only a holding option in coaching and little confidence. We urgently need change and then time

  13. Post update

England batting coach Marcus Trescothick is the man put up to talk. His words are incoming.

  14. 'There are big questions to ask'

    Michael Vaughan

Former England captain on BT Sport

Kyle Mayers was fantastic - he was just getting enough of the surface. It was line and length - that was just it.

The lack of resistance in this England team in non-existent. There's no fight, no togetherness - there's no spirit in this England team. You don't gift the opposition an easy win. This West Indies team are just OK and to see this England team just capitulate with no spirit or fight - there are big questions to ask.

  15. Post update

We'll bring you all the reaction from the West Indies and England camps in the next few minutes.

Be interested to see who England send out to talk. Joe Root really should put his hand up on a day like this to answer some difficult questions.

  16. Close of play

    That's stumps.

England are teetering on the brink of a humiliating defeat.

  17. Get Involved

    #bbccricket

Az: Dropping Root as captain does us no good whatsoever, we are a nation deprived of good first class cricketers and it’s as simple as that. We are being embarrassed by a WI side who are considerably poorer than us and that about wraps it up.

  18. 'Desperate stuff'

    Jonathan Agnew

    BBC cricket correspondent in Grenada

This batting performance sits comfortably alongside what we saw in Australia. It's been desperate stuff today.

  19. Eng 103-8

Kyle Mayers continues, hungry for more wickets. He keeps it tight to Jack Leach.

Another maiden over - his seventh from 13 bowled.

SMS Message: Before all the screaming starts, this, insultingly for WI, was a fact finding tour. Findings - Woakes is a fantastic home cricketer and a squad away cricketer, Mahmood is with sticking with, Lees has temperament and he will pair with Sibley in time, Root to be a batter/spinner only, stick with Foakes, Bairstow is a test player, need to find a quality spinner and it may be Leach. Finally - this isn't the eighties where overweight bowlers carry on too long. Broad and Anderson are athletes and should play until their form says otherwise, then replace them. Don't drop them for bowlers of less ability because past stats dictate they are not up to it. Well done to the ECB for this new approach. Now act on it! from Brian, Birmingham
