John Hersey High School Reviews

I really enjoyed my 4 years at John Hersey High School. I currently take honors and AP classes which I feel have prepared me for my college journey. I feel very safe at my school which is very important! There are so many different classes offered and I even was part of an internship in software engineering. I really don't feel anything has to change.
My experience at high school was amazing. The community really engages with our school through sporting events and other activities. The overall school is a little run down and can be updated. Sports at this school are great. Academics are also very good and keep the students learning. Faculty are very nice and care about the students.
The best is the teachers and Principal are are very friendly and there's great resources to learn. There are many class offerings so you could try to figure out what courses to take for college and what you want to do as a possible career after college. The worst is it's like a jail, there are barely any windows in the building, the layout of the building is messed up. If you have a class on one side of the building, it's difficult to get on the other side. Gym should never be first period, you are sweaty the rest of the day. The food for lunch is horrible, a change needs to be made, this is why everyone wants to leave for lunch. If the food was better, we would spend money at the school and not go out to eat but the food is just awful. The coaches for some of the Sports do not coach there's knowone really there to assist you and you are left at times trying to figure everything out yourself. Overall it's a great school with a really good environment.
