John Entwistle – Whistle Rymes

i have all 5 of john entwistles solo albums that came out in spain as they where only pressed once in spain way back in the 70s and that was it, this whistle rymes edition has a unique to spain only sleeve as it was not issued as a gatefold in spain but a single lp sleeve, nice lamination on the front of the sleeve and the rear of the sleeve is unique becouse it has the pink rear sleeve w/ the lyrics to each track wich is usually in the first left hand side of most markets gatefold sleeve of this lp, it was used as the rear of the sleeve in spain only, this was released in 1973 in spain NOT IN 1972 when it originally was released in most markets, the sleeve is very, very thin more thin then all the other entwistle solo lp spain sleeves i have, my copy is in vg condition both lp and sleeve, this one does not pop up often as i suppose many sleeves have not surived a bit over 48 years since this lp was released in spain as the sleeve is again very thin, the front of the sleeve is laminated and the rear none laminated..........

i have various different pressings of this 1972 solo album from the ox & i got this us copy back in the 70s, i actually found a SEALED PROMO us copy of this today and on the front it has a big black sticker explaining the lp etc etc as well as a stamp on the rear left bottom of the lp sleeve that states SAMPLE COPY, im leaving this baby sealed as it has been sealed for 49 years now, i had to get this as of all who members solo stuff johns was my favorite........

this is a very nice scarce italy pressing of the second solo lp released by john entwistle, this was released in most markets worldwide in 1972 but this italian pressing was not released in italy until 1973, this has a beautiful laminated gatefold sleeve and was released on the italian red polydor label!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this was johns best solo lp besides his first, i have been saying for 40 years now his first two where his best but rigor mortis and mad dog where great to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this was the first and only italy pressing of this great solo effort!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a super really nice australian edition of this 1972 classic and second solo lp by the late great john entwistle, this australian edition was not released in oz until 1973 and has a thin beautiful laminated gatefold sleeve,this was released on the red polydor label in oz and does not pop up to often. johns first two solo albums where his best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! glad i found this

this is a beautiful gatefold JAPANESE COPY of this 1972 classic from the ox, i will always feel this was johns BEST SOLO RECORD next to smash your head against the wall, anyway this lp was released in 1973 in japan along with pete townshends who came first and roger daltreys debut solo lp from 1973 and johns then new third solo album when rigor mortis sets in, all 4 where released as a set and all 4 had top cap obi strips, they where printed in limited quantity and are very hard to get in 2017 complete with the cap obi strips, the promo sticker and the japan 4 page booklet all 4 records came with, it took me about 20 years to find smash your head against the wall with the obi as that japan lp is impossible to find complete and it only popped up complete once on e bay 7 years ago and has never been on discogs yet, anyway it is a pleasure to own this whistle rymes lp japanese as well as the others i listed, this also comes in a thick early 70s type sleeve wich is great to!!!!!!!!!!!!

this was the first pressing of this solo classic from 1972 that was released in japan in the lp replica paper jacket back in 2006, this catlog was released again in 08 and that catlog is better as it features the shm remastering and replicates the original 1972 japan lp, regardless this was still a great release 10 years back with great bonus tracks, the shm release from 08 or 09 has the same bonus tracks.......

this is a great japan shm remastered cd of john entwistles second solo album from 1972, this edition was released back in 2008, the lp replication is perfect as per the original japan lp even right down to the obi strip, this disc sounds amazing and shm mastering is only available in japan, also this disc includes 4 bonus tracks
