We were a group of four dining at African Queen. We were met by a really nice waitress, who gave us information about the food and suggested we try the mixed plate for four - this would be a good way to try several different...dishes. We were not disappointed: there were a lot of different varieties of dishes, and a more than large enough amount of food for the four of us. The food was delicious. The fruit beer served in coconut shells was definitely different, and also very good. It's definitely worth a visit.More

You will be surprise by the decoration and the unique fusion of many different influences in the taste of foods. Lots of options REN for vegetarians. Service was good, but we order some ice for our coke and they forgot about it. Highly recommended

This is the first time I’ve ever tried african food and it was truly the best place to do it. For drinks we had african beers and some homemade cocktails, both were great. Then for food we got the traditional plate for 3 people even...though we were 4, and it was enough for a light dinner. It was served with their traditional bread which has a pancake-like texture. We also had the ice cream and temri for dessert which I highly recommend everyone should try! If you are looking for something different to try I definitely recommend coming here!More

A treat for groups to share a big platter of four different vegetarian vegetables with injera bread. A very good hostess who will make you feel at home and enthusiastically explain the food and the extra accompanying spices.try the African beer Ma Suwa or the...stronger Nigerian Guiness. A delightful experience on the whole.More

We went to this place years ago when they were close to Hauptbahnhof and were delighted to see they have moved closer to us. The food was excellent and the whole family enjoyed sharing a huge pan of various Eritrean delicacies served on injera. My...boy insisted we go back again, it was that good. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back.More

Not so far from the Train Station. A cosy restaurant with very friendly waitresses. Nice interior. The waitress explained very well the different African meals at the menu. We choose an Eritrean plate. Tasteful. We also had African beers. Excellent!

Fabulous restaurant, tasty food. The owner was flawless and so friendly. I tried the plate of "Everything Something" and the Temri, both were excellent (take the plate, you should really everything!) . I didn't want to leave the restaurant after that. I live in Göttingen...and I just came briefly in Frankfurt but I will surely come back just to eat again here.More

From the moment you enter until you leave they make it an experience. Explaining their origins to how you eat and the food they have, it’s fabulous. The food is amazing. We had the plate for three. Was well priced and delicious. It was an...ample amount of multiple types of food. Drinks are reasonably priced and the overall value is excellent. I highly recommend this Ethiopian experience if you have the opportunity.More

We were three for lunch. The waitress was very friendly and polite, she even recommended a share dish for two, as she knew it would be enough. You don’t find this kind of honest service in many places! The food was delicious and very delicate,...we really enjoyed all the different tastes and it has been an excellent experience!More

Because of book fair in Frankfurt, I made a reservation at this restaurant, after we arrived we were informed to wait 10 minutes before we are seated. we waited outside although it was raining, because inside it was totally packed and loud, after 30 minutes...(!!!) I went inside to ask when we can have a seat, the seating manager told me to wait 10 minutes more, after another 10 minutes it did not seem that she was organising a table for my friends and me, she was serving drinks and food, we left this location and went to another restaurant, luckily we got a table, because the other restaurant was much more professional regarding booking system, furthermore the employees were not really friendlyMore

Amazing find. Restaurant was packed on arrival. We ended waiting 20mins for a table but it was well worth the wait. Food was fairly spicy but so well cooked. Served on a pancake type bread. Don't want to describe it as I will not do...it justice. Go and try it for yourself!!More
