Though a neophyte in the field of acting, Jake Ejercito is packed with potential, as we saw in his performances on previous Kapamilya teleseryes and heard from his co-actors.

The gorgeous man had his debut performance as a Kapamilya via rom-com series “Marry Me, Marry You,” where he brought second-lead syndrome to viewers. In the story, he played Cedric, who, at one point, became bitter rivals with his best friend Andrei (Paolo Avelino) because of Camille (Janine Gutierrez). As the character evolved in the second season, Jake blew us away with his serious dramatic chops.

Proof of Jake’s star power is viewers’ wild reaction over him joining “The Broken Marriage Vow.” Just his short character teaser was enough to send everyone into a frenzy, and when he finally made his first appearance on the show as Dr. Jil (Jodi Sta Maria)’s date, the episode landed on social media’s trending lists.

In the teleserye airing its finale this week, Jake plays Gabby, the sports instructor vying for the heart of Jodi’s character.

Now he’s about to add a new project to his growing repertoire, the sexy-drama series “A Family Affair,” which he shares top billing with Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, Jameson Blake, and Ivana Alawi. He will breathe life to the third Estrella brother, Seb, the wild child of the brood.

As far as charm and acting skills are involved, Jake has the making of a prime actor. Catch him in “A Family Affair,” starting June 27, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
