On a recent edition of his “1 Of A Kind” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam expressed his admiration for former MLW talent Jacob Fatu, who recently signed with WWE but has not yet debuted.

RVD said, “Yes, I have [seen him]. He’s very good. I was very impressed with him. I saw him in LA at PCW, Pacific Coast Wrestling. I was there, and I was very impressed with him. For being a big dude, I like the way that he does the double-jump springboard moonsault, and that just stuck out in my mind. Obviously, he does a lot more than that, and he’s a really good wrestler. He’s been around for a while, making a lot of noise.”

Fatu was backstage at WrestleMania 40 last month. It’s unknown when he will make his WWE debut.

Zilla Fatu, the son of Umaga, is the latest member of The Bloodline to enter the wrestling business and could one day work for WWE.

In a recent interview with Joey Franchize, Zilla was asked what it’s like to learn from the likes of Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, and Dominik Mysterio. He said,

“I wanna say Shelton Benjamin. Shout-out to Shelton. We call him Black Uce in our family. That’s the Black Uce. But Shelton, he’s been giving me a lot of game as far as the psychology part of wrestling because anybody can go out there and do a Rock Bottom on somebody, but it’s about how you get into it, how you tell that story. With Shelton, he’s more [about] like everything has to make sense, every movement has to count. So I’m just thankful for him. Carlito, Carlito’s one of the main mentors that I tap in with every day. Dom, you feel me, even though that’s my brother, he’s really a mentor, too. That’s Rey Mysterio’s son. Who else? Charlie Haas, Shelton and Dominik, those are the main guys that I tap in. Obviously man, The Bloodline, obviously my cousins, that’s understood. They always gonna tap in.”
