Cool to see some OG G1 ponies. I wouldn’t say this special was amazing, but the music was fun, and it’s nice seeing Zipp and Hitch working together
I'm glad that we got to see Hitch's granny again they're adorable together!
I also like the Spike plushie in Pipp's study, that was a cute detail.
I enjoyed this special, I was especially happy to see Pipp again, she reinforced just why she is my favourite G5 character. She's so amazing! The music was good too, I'll be listening to the songs again in the future. I was also happy to see Onyx again, she's one of my favourite non-Mane 5 characters.
I also have found myself quite intrigued by the lore surrounding Bridlewood itself, so it was nice to have a special that expanded it.
The special was so fun! I wasn't expecting the G1 pony cameos. The troggles were also a coop G1 reference. Pipp dismissing the unicorns' worries wasn't her greatest moment, but I loved that she recognized she made a mistake and apologized.
I wish the ponies would communicate better! I kept thinking "Argh, just listen to each other!" Communication is the single most important aspect of any relationship, including friendship and business relationships, and I would be much happier if they realised that and started to deliberately put it into practice even when it's hard.
Wish we'd gotten real songs from the other two acts, maybe an opportunity for the community to get creative?
I did find it amusing that the stage looked more like a plastic playset than the vehicle which was almost certainly designed to be part of a playset anyway. The Marestream looks so gorgeous with its iridescent paint and RGB strip.
Pipp's voice actor absolutely killed it in this one!
Yeah, they got cellphones, but they all promised their respective bands would be headliners. It was so cringe I couldn't keep watching.
I cannot overstate how much I adore Pipp's makeup. Everything just pops out so well!!
It was okay. Definitely a huge step up from the previous 3 chapters in terms of animation, characters and plot, but had a couple problems with unresolved plotlines and a few small animation/continuity nitpicks. It seems like the series is improving, and I hope it continues to get better!
This is my favourite G5 thing since the movie, Pipp is a great character.
If somepony talks over you, thereby takes away your voice, give them a ruby.
I don't care what anyone says about Ruby Jubilee, she's the best! I love her look, her voice and song "Iconic" is so feel-good! There needs to be more covers/remixes of it!
And her dancing is so cute! This might so weird to say but it almost looks like a puppet on string, so bouncy and energetic and fluid
As for the "Troggles", that was kind of dumb. Maybe could've Opaline sent them or Sunny and her friends combine their magic to banish them (like wendigos), but no.
Hosting another Bridlewoodstock will only repeat the problem. Rubies aren't free
I know it wasn't the same sorta g3 design for a pony called "Minty"... but she kinda cute tho
Good special. I’m still feeling like there’s not a lot of rewatch value for G5 stuff (aside from the movie). But improved lighting is doing the mane 5 some wonderful favors. The look has improved so much, and the storytelling, too. Leaves me excited for the future of the series.
Ruby’s song was great.
Parasprites make an appearance and they do absolutely nothing with it? Really?
Having actual parasprites come to eat all the food would be, like, real conflict, and removing them wouldn't restore the food. The troggles instead are scarier, while being completely undone at the end, so exactly what the show wants.
Writing: Bad. The characters basically don't listen to each other and the conflict is forced and weak. The Troggle POV shots, rather than amping up tension, are there to remind you there is an actual conflict at all, and deflate all of it by seeming stupid.
Pacing: Way too slow for things to happen. It's all setup until like half an hour in.
Visuals: My eyes actually hurt at certain points from the intense oversaturated glowing colors. Overall, everything prior to the one celebrity pony's song just didn't look good. Also, detail is overly focused on outfits instead of environments or the Troggles.
Does anyone have the link for mlp mym chapter 4?
Sorry but there is no link you need Netflix to watch it.
It’s nice there wasn’t a on uneeded conflict over the song schedule. The first song wasn’t really good however and was unrelated to the time of time regarding lyrics as well.
Izzy seems to have improved to more to what she was in the movie, I liked how she could take something seriously and contribute.
this has bothered me since i watched it and i know i shouldn't think too much into it but im so curious about the timeline now because of the g1 ponies moment i wanna know where each generation lands in the pony timelines... especially since the g4 ponies seem to be at least far enough away for no one to really remember how they lost their magic
I can't believe nobody brought up that they promised being the headliner until it inevitably became a problem. And than they try to convince them all to go first. This whole headlining plot was so frustrating and painful to watch . . . Talk to one band and than be on the same page about the conversation before talking to the next.
Why does Hitch look orange instead of yellow?
