Signed Sealed Delivered

Fans of Signed, Sealed, Delivered, known as "POstables," are ecstatic these days as the band is back together and filming has commenced on the next installment of the popular film franchise on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered started as an episodic series on Hallmark Channel, but after the first season, the show moved over to Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and transitioned to a two-hour movie format. The show follows four postal detectives who are tasked with reuniting damaged letters and packages that end up in the Dead Letter Office to their intended recipients.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered is the 13th film in the series, and for POstables, it's been a long time coming. The film was originally announced back in 2019 at Hallmark Channel's winter Television Critics Association event in Pasadena, California. They were in the process of gearing up for production in 2020 when the pandemic put everything on hold. With safety protocols in place and the stars aligning (as well as everyone's schedules), production is now underway.

Here's everything we know about the new Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie.

What is Signed, Sealed, Delivered about?

Created by Martha Williamson, the show follows four postal workers as they attempt to return lost and supposedly undeliverable mail to their rightful recipient. As they delve into the history of the mail and its content, viewers learn the stories behind each letter and about the writer as well as the intended recipient.

What's happening in the new Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie?

In the newest film, as Shane (Kristin Booth) and Oliver (Eric Mabius) prepare for their wedding, they must work quickly to help a young boy fighting leukemia reunite with his long lost friend. Their search is complicated by Shane’s mother, Sharon (Sherry Miller), who arrives early and with her own plan for their wedding. Meanwhile, Rita (Crystal Lowe) and Norman (Geoff Gustafson) navigate the challenges of trying to start a family, but a new employee in the Dead Letter Office may deliver the answer.

Will Oliver and Shane get married in Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We HaveMade?

During the eight years since they first met, Shane and Oliver have shown us that opposites not only attract but can make a difference in the world, as they’ve joined forces together with Rita and Norman to form the POstables, a special unit of the Dead Letter Office (DLO) committed to solving mysteries behind lost letters. As the Head of the DLO and a gentleman with old world values, Oliver has always searched prayerfully for the letters that can change a life when delivered. This time the life that's transformed is his own. As Oliver deals with more than prenuptial jitters, he recalls words of wisdom from the great women in his life, including Supervisor Theresa Capodiamonte (Valerie Harper); his Sunday School teacher Marion (Marion Ross) and Norman’s grandmother Ardis (Carol Burnett), who give him courage yet again.

Between Oliver's pre-wedding jitters and Shane's meddlesome mother, will the two make it down the aisle to say, "I do"? POstables will have to tune in on October 17 to find out!

Eric Mabius (Oliver O'Toole)

Oliver O'Toole is a classic gentleman and would probably be more comfortable living in the 1920s than the 2020s. He is engaged to Shane McInerney.

Mabius, the actor who plays him, is probably best known for his role as Daniel Meade on ABC's Ugly Betty opposite America Ferrara. He made his film debut in 1995's Welcome to the Dollhouse.

Kristin Booth (Shane McInerney)

Shane is the DLO's computer guru and wasn't even meant to be a member of the Dead Letter Office. She was actually assigned to another DLO in the postal service—Direct Line Operations. By the time Shane was able to transfer to the correct DLO she had become a POstable and decided to stay where she was.

Kristin Booth's first starring film role was opposite a pre-DeadpoolRyan Reynolds in the 2003 heist film, Foolproof. She later starred as Connie in MVP: The Secret Lives of Hockey Wives opposite Haven star Lucas Bryant. Prior to Signed, Sealed, Delivered, Booth took on the role of Ethel Kennedy in the television miniseries, The Kennedys.

Fun fact:Booth was an executive producer on the Hallmark Channel movie, Winter's Dream starring Kristy Swanson and Dean Cain. Booth's husband, Tim Ware, was a writer on the film!

Geoff Gustafson (Norman Dorman)

Norman is the team's version of James Bond's Q, but with a lot less expensive tech. He's been quietly in love with Rita for years and only in recent years finally acted on his passion for her.

Geoff Gustafson has been acting for close to three decades and hails from the same high school as Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe, New Amsterdam's Tyler Labine and Property Brothers'Jonathan and Drew Scott. Both Gustafson and Lowe were part of the main cast of Primeval: New World alongside Hallmark Channel alum Niall Matter.

When he's not acting, Gustafson teaches and is Director of Performing Arts at Vancouver Acting School.

Fun fact: Gustafson is an ardent baseball fan and he doesn't eat sweets.
