Met Gala Down Under: All the Australian celebrities who graced the red carpet

It was Aussies galore at the 2024 Met Gala.

Down Under had a big representation at fashion's night of nights, including Hugh Jackman and our very own Princess of Pop, Kylie Minogue, who made her triumphant return to the event after a decade.

Kylie Minogue made jaws drop around the world (especially back home in Australia) when she made her first Met Gala appearance in 10 years.

The Padam Padam singer, 55, transformed into a real-life sleeping beauty for her incredible Met Gala comeback.

Minogue was dressed in Diesel for her huge comeback, with her sheer nude and blue dress encrusted in Swarovski crystals.

At one point, Kylie posed with Diesel fashion designer Glenn Martens, who stood proudly next to the singer to showcase his work.

Australian royality (well, to us anyway) Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were their usual loved-up selves on the Met Gala red carpet.

Kidman, 56, dazzled in a 1951 custom Balenciaga gown which had stunning feathering at the front.

She also added a touch of old Hollywood glamour with her long white gloves.

"The Met Gala's 'The Garden of Time' theme is so beautiful, I think I just fell in love with the idea of kissing a Balenciaga couture gown awake," Kidman told Vogue of the dress.

The Crown star Elizabeth Debicki stepped out in an unusual mustard-coloured satin strapless gown – but it was her floral matching headpiece which was the main event.

The Australian-born star's gown had a stunning train which flowed down the steps of the Met.

British-Australian star Naomi Watts also opted for some long white gloves for her glamorous black sequin look.

Australian-born basketballer Ben Simmons nailed the theme Garden of Time with a very unusual accessory – a briefcase clock.

Aussie actor Hugh Jackman made a solo appearance in a Tom Ford suit, which he once wore to his very first Met Gala in 2004.

Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, dazzled in their joint red carpet appearance.

The Thor actor was picked as one of the co-chairs for this year's Met Gala.

Hemsworth looked dapper in his cream Tom Ford suit.

Troye Sivan also represented Down Under with his appearance, the singer dressed in a fun cropped vest and a pale blue crisp shirt.

Acclaimed Australian director Baz Luhrmann and his wife Catherine Martin attended the Met Gala in matching deep-green floral designs.
