Sunnyvale is located on land surrounded on 3 sides by the mouth of the river Clwyd and golden sandy beaches that stretch for miles. We are a luxury park that specialises in selling high quality lodges and caravans and have a stunning well appointed touring field next to the beach. Privately owned lodges and caravans (some with spectacular sea views) make up the majority of our park. Small by most standards we still have a seasonal bar & eaterie with full spa facilities including a gym, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, sports hall, treatment room and zen garden currently being built for the exclusive use of our caravan owners and their guests. We are a quiet holiday resort with the emphasis on relaxation and wellness. We operate all year round.

We stayed here for 4 nights in our tourer (me, husband, mother and 1- year old daughter) and have just returned home today. We were warmly welcomed by the touring manager Mark who made sure we knew where everything was and was super helpful. The pitches have been well cared for, spacious and the grounds are continually kept clean and tidy by Mark who meticulously ensures everything is in tip top shape daily. The facilities are a little dated but they are cleaned x2 a day and kept very clean and tidy and have exactly what you’d expect to find so no complaints there at all.
The park is large, and well cared for. The only slight disappointment was finding that the on-site shop and cafe/arcade is no longer open for business. However it didn’t matter in the end as the location of the park is superb. Everything you could want is on the doorstep, supermarkets for essentials, the promenade and beach access is brilliant. All the attractions and restaurants/pubs are a short walk or drive away and there was lots to do for families and couples. We visited the travelling American circus, went to the arcades and beaches, spent a few hours at the new water park and went to Abergele to visit the I’m a Celeb castle.
We ate out a couple of times at the dog friendly Mayquay which is right outside the park. Really lovely staff and great food so would recommend eating there.
We will definitely be returning with our caravan next year as we found the personal touch from Mark made our stay, made us feel like valued customers and we can’t wait to go back. Lovely fun packed holiday!

Hi and thank you very much for taking the time to review our park. Sadly post Covid holidays are a very different thing already. We struggle at the best of times to get quality team members in an industry that is seasonal at the best of times. Brexit and Covid have changed the workforce dynamic to such an extent that we have had to rethink our facilities like the shop and snack shack.... even our bar, which now remains closed on a Monday and Tuesday (even during the busier summer weeks due to low staff numbers. In essence everything that is or was available on park is replicated in much larger numbers just off park and it is time we adjusted to our new norm. We have slowly over the years reduced our facilities to cater for the ever changing dynamic of our typical customer that for the very most part want a high quality, safe and quiet enviable location to base themselves while they explore the surrounding area. There are parks that attempt to keep the guests on park and never actually "experience" Wales..... Your family are typical Sunnyvalers that have made the effort to see our part of Wales in all its glory and we applaud that. Please do come back and stay with us again and thanks once more for your wonderful review.

We arrived in March for our first season on the touring field on Sunnyvale, the pitches are a good size and very well kept, the site is in a perfect location for local amenities and right on the beach. I have been very impressed with the cleanliness of the site and especially the shower and toilet block. On arrival we were greeted by Mark the warden who made us feel welcome and is always on hand for help or advice. We have found our seasonal neighbours to be friendly and welcoming and we are looking forward to getting to know them and the Sunnyvale staff this season :)

We loved our time here, from the moment we arrived we were greeted by extremely helpful and knowledgable staff. They informed us of trading times for the restaurant etc and when they were available to help at reception.

Once we had unloaded the car we had a visit from housekeeping to check that everything was ok. We have never experienced this before and after being on the park for a while, it was evident that cleaning standards were of high importance to them.

The location is so nice, we had the beach on the doorstep, new harbour bridge with a lovely cafe and we were hire bikes too. On one of the days the boys ventured to snowdon which want too far either.
On site there was a park, laundrette and convenience store.

We did not want to come home, watched some beautiful sunsets and managed to totally unwind and relax. We were also very lucky with the weather.

Awwww... we love that you clearly were able to unwind and kick back. Holidays at Sunnyvale are all about getting out and about to really experience the truly amazing North Wales sights and sounds which clearly you have done just that. We love that we have everything on our doorstep but can retreat to the tranquility of the park afterwards to allow the days experiences to gently sink in. Please come back and visit us soon.

We were looking for a holiday home, and after walking round, chatting to Bradley in the Galley bar, Michelle, Jeenie-Leigh, Adam, Tina and Aaron, from the office. as well as other caravan owners, we decided that Sunnyvale was the place for us. The site is really well maintained by Mark and Dan. The beach is opposite, the staff are helpful, approachable, just great actually. The staff work really hard providing trips, family fun days, food tasters, and we have just had a music festival weekend, with bands, burgers, hotdogs, and even Wood oven pizzas, just amazing. Can't wait to make more memories with our family, and our new Sunnyvale friends. I cannot recommend this caravan park enough, it is so peaceful, and the site fees are really reasonable too, considering the location. 5 stars from me

Sunnyvale caravan park is in a fantastic location with direct access to a "dog" friendly beach. The costal path is great for anyone who enjoys walking/cycling. There are a number of shops including an Aldi just a 10 minute walk away, and you can easily stroll into Rhyl in 20 minutes.

The site is clean and well maintained by Mark and Dan.

The onsite Galley bar is cosy and dog friendly and Brad always knows what we're drinking!!

All the staff are friendly and helpful from Mel on security to Michelle,Jeenie-leigh, Trina and Adam in the office.

I highly recommend Sunnyvale Caravan Park to anyone wanting to stay in North Wales. It's even open 12 months of the year for people who own a static caravan.

We have had our caravan since early March 2023 and we absolutely love it here on Sunnyvale. The site itself is absolutely spotless and well maintained by Mark and Dan who are out in all weathers ensuring nothing is amiss. The site is adjacent to the beach and close to two major supermarkets and retail outlets within a ten minute walk. The bar/bistro on site has a good choice of beers and wines also has occasional theme nights regarding food i.e. Mexican etc. On a Friday they have started to do fish chips and home made mushy peas which is excellent. If you are not into fish and chips they do a selection of lite bites which are also very tasty. It is also a very dog friendly site.

Fabulous review and thank you very much for taking the time to do it. Our Galley Bar has worked tirelessly to create a menu that is 100% home made using local ingredients and even the sauces and accompaniments are made from scratch by our dedicated team who are incredibly passionate about delivering excellence on a plate. We have an amazing team across the park who are frankly awesome and a pleasure to be part of. Thanks again and we wish you many decades of Sunnyvale happiness.

We have just returned home after staying here for 4 nights with our touring caravan, the site is lovely and clean and well looked after. Mark the warden does a wonderful job and is very friendly. The toilet & shower block was spotless. The galley bar was nice & cosy. The location of this site was great, a 2 minute walk onto the beach and a 15 minute walk into rhyl and towyn a little further away approx 30 minute walk. All in all a very good stay.

Sunnyvale on Kinmel Bay, is a fantastic location. Walking distance to Rhyl, about a 15 minute drive to Gwrych Castle which is home to I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! Also close to Llandudno.
We took our Tourer but they also sell static caravan holidays. The site is about a 2 minute walk from the beach and there are 2 pubs close by and also they have a lovely well kept clubhouse, Bradley was a very attentive barman and always kept the beers flowing, and the clubhouse tidy.
Mark the Touring warden was very friendly and kept the area very tidy.
I can’t wait to return next year, that’s how much I enjoyed it.

Me, my husband, our two children and our little dog Rocco stayed here for a weekend away in December. We stayed in a lodge and it was lovely, clean and had everything you needed in there for a perfect stay. They had really thought of everything. The site is a lovely little site and is kept so well.

There is so much to do in the area we visited the mini railway and the Aquarium. The beach is a stone throw away from our cabin our kids loved it on there but Rocco loves it even more!

David’s video really sealed the deal for us be because he gave us a great insight of what facilities were available and we just had to book after seeing that.

Thanks all for a lovely stay and we all can’t wait to get back and will be booking again soon.

This is an excellent holiday park, well maintained with good security, number plate recognition barriers and regular security patrols. The touring site is also extremely well maintained, hard standing pitches, low level lighting on the tarmac roads. The shower/toilet block is spotlessly clean and with radiators in each shower cubicle, is very warm on cold days. The Warden will go out of his way to welcome you on site and help with any problems . Situated close to the sea and a short drive into Rhyl/Llandudno and with good access to the North Wales coast and Snowdonia. Highly recommended.
