Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Excellent. Same as the old VHS tape I had many many years ago. Even have the cut on the corner of the DVD case. Reminded me of my old vinyls that had a cut on the corner of the cover.
classic Stranglers stuff. tons that you know and lots that you haven't seen on american TV ... even has the Nice & Sleazy from Battersea Park. i enjoyed it quite a bit
Considering that these videos are from 1977-1982, they are really WAY above average for that time. In fact, there are only two dull videos in the bunch - No More Heroes, which is just flashes of news clippings, and Nuclear Device, which is rather silly. The rest are very good to great. The best treat is seeing Hugh Cornwell and JJ Burnell looking SO COOL!!! The sound quality is really good and the picture quality is very good for that era. If you love the Stranglers, this is a great visual souvenir of their early years to have. It also includes the notorious live film of Nice n Sleazy in London uncensored.
This is a very good selection, that includes most of the Stranglers early hits, including Duchess, Something Better Change, No More Heroes, Peaches and Strange Little Girl. The quality of the audio is OK, but video looks like it was digitized from a VHS. Also the DVD completely lacks extras, having their best post-1982 video - "Always The Sun" - as an extra would have been nice. So, in conclusion, if you are the Stranglers fan this video is for you, if you just curious - audio collection like Greatest Hits 1977-1990 will be a greater (and higher quality) introduction
Very enjoyable collection of videos from the (just) pre-MTV era. Many of these videos are funny and creative, which is an accomplishment considering they were pretty low-budget affairs. If you like/love the Stranglers, you'll like/love this DVD. My only complaint is the lack of a booklet; it would be nice to read some history of that time and what it was like trying to get these made.
