I feel like a banana split sounds like a one liner Arnold would actually say during sex.
Is this movie good? Not really. However I did not entirely hate it.
Older Arnold was boring, The actor really botched his accent. And You can see the dude is not jacked. or remotely built like Arnold. It felt more like a made for TV biopic and not a good one at that.
Young Arnold during his bodybuilding days was more interesting. Arnold was more cocky and the actor was having a blast playing him. It was more interesting to watch. I would have focused on his earlier days.
Watched for an upcoming Patreon episode of Movie Melt. I’m not sure which was worse — fake old Arnold, fake Gary Coleman, or fake Dee Snider. I look more like all three of them than the actors that they got.
TECHNICALLY an Arnold movie. Also TECHNICALLY a shit movie. Literally every scene jumps between two different eras. Jürgen Prochnow's Arnold impersonation sounds like Tommy Wiseau doing a JFK impression. Liked a few things, though.
This is a TV film about Arnold's life. It has terrible acting and writing, but I am not gonna lie, it was extremely entertaining.
To the dismay of my friends and colleagues on both sides of the political spectrum, I freely admit that, given the opportunity, I would have voted for the man we once knew as Colonel John Matrix. Nevertheless, I too was flummoxed by the fact this movie was clearly written as an infomercial for the big guy. I have never in my life seen less dramatic tension. I really liked Roland Kickinger as young Arnie; he really had that effortless teutonic charm thing going. I wasn't quite so big on Jurgen Prochnow as current Arnie; he did an ok job looking the part but he just didn't sound right. Oh well. Our only other option would have been Ralf Moeller, and I'm not sold on that either.
