Well, I guess this movie wasn't that bad. It had good animation, the pacing was nice and brisk and the girls were given the ecchi treatment (their breasts flying around as if this were an episode of High School DXD or Ikkitousen). However it falls short ultimately with the removal of some important pieces to the story that were beneficial to the series (ex. the removal of Ace). It gave off the feeling that something was missing and fails to deliver. Had this been more faithful to the series it would've been better, but it falls short. You should just watch the whole alabasta arc (bar episodes 98 - 99, 101 - 102) instead if you're trying to keep tabs on the series, watching this in it's place will just leave you confused.

Episodes 92-130, but make it a movie. The animation was nice and it is great for those who are more interested in the main plot of episodes 92-130, but don't expect it to make it better.

this feels like my brain is shutting down. ive already watched alabasta but if I hadn't I would be so lost- this movie feels like an hour and a half long recap at the start of an episode in the way that it is random parts of the story just stuck together the fight that luffy and vivi have means NOTHING in this because it's literally 10 minutes after they met and they haven't even talked before that moment. none of this movie actually brings any emotion to alabasta especially due to how character driven the arc is in the show- just watch alabasta. it's not very many episodes and it's leagues above this headache inducing speed run of a lovely one piece arc
