Honestly, I like to fight all of demons Wukong faced, but if I have to choose one, it’s either Red Boy or Six Eared Macaque.

In the book, out of all the demons, yaoguai, and monstrous deviates they fought, two in particular stood out to me:
The Yellow Wind Demon or Great King Yellow Wind had a spell which summoned a sandstorm that even Wukong himself couldn't face directly.
The Bovine Great King (Not Bull Demon King) was once one of Great Immortal Laozi's livestock used in his Alchemy. He escaped when one of the Great Immortal's assistants fell asleep on the job and took a Diamond Snare in the form of a casaok or string of pearls. With the right spell, it could be used to capture or disarm anymore with a gravity well-like effect, even multiple high-rank dieties.

Red Boy, Erlang, any of his forgotten friends from before he was imprisoned for 500 years, Wuneng or Wuching could be fun and they didn't become Buddhas.
Something that includes the Star Constellations creating enclosings, like when Heaven besieged the flower-fruit mountain.
Azure bull with the diamond circlet would be amazing to face. Like for the second half of the fight no weapons are allowed from you.
I would also love to face 6 ear macaque if possible lol. Those two would make a rather interesting gameplay something unique from the usual fighting
I still can’t believe an anime studio hasn’t made a direct adaptation of journey to west it could be done so well
The book is massive and probably too much pressure given how beloved it is.
It could he multiple parts and a studio like gibli would probably do an amazing job I just find it weird how it is the inspiration for practically all Japanese media to some degree but they have never adapted it into a anime movie. You can’t honestly tell me that if a good team and director got a hold of it with a good budget they couldn’t produce something amazing. That’s about if it’s but I think it would be worth it it would also share the story with millions who would have never heard it other wise

I would like to see a battle with the 3 immortal taoists/3 pure ones. In the book, wukong defeated them all one by one in different trials to prove their 'godhood'. Imagine having to fight them 1v3 or a 3-phased boss battle with different gimmicks
