Who is Hannah Quinlivan, Jay Chou’s pregnant Taiwanese-Australian wife? From starring with Dwayne Johnson to founding her own Jendes brand and following in Coco Chanel’s footsteps

Born to an Australian dad and a Chinese-Korean mum, and raised in Taiwan, Hannah Quinlivan married the “King of Mando-pop” Jay Chou in a fairy tale wedding in 2015, and is currently pregnant with their third child.

Despite her humble beginnings as an aspiring starlet and retail store worker, Quinlivan has proven time and again that she’s more than just another celebrity wife. Also known as Jen Wu and Kun Ling, the Taiwanese-Australian talent has already built an impressive resume and become a force to be reckoned with in multiple industries – all while starting a family. And she’s only 28 (that’s 15 years younger than Chou).

From landing international acting roles and front row seats at fashion weeks to establishing a name as an entrepreneur, here’s what you need to know about Hannah Quinlivan.

1. She made her Hollywood debut in Skyscraper

Just like her husband, who stepped into Hollywood in The Green Hornet and Now You See Me 2, Quinlivan is planting a foot in the action thriller genre.

In 2018, the budding actress starred alongside superstars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Neve Campbell in the film Skyscraper as a feisty assassin named Xia.

The Rock even gave her a shout-out on Instagram when they were still filming in Vancouver. “Don’t judge this sweet lookin’ book by its cover – lethality comes in all sizes,” the film star captioned their photo.

What’s even more impressive is how the future mum-of-three auditioned for the role just days after giving birth to her son Romeo, as per Marie Claire. Her other successful projects include S.M.A.R.T. Chase and Nezha.

2. She’s makes a glamorous Boucheron ambassador

With her stunning looks and growing career, it’s no surprise many brands are fighting to team up with Quinlivan. The long list includes French luxury brand Boucheron, which released a holiday campaign featuring her and fellow ambassadors such as Alexa Chung and Zhou Dongyu.

In this Together As One festive campaign, Quinlivan elevated her all-black ensemble with Colombian emerald and diamond pieces, as per Vogue Singapore.

3. She surprised her husband with a Lamborghini Urus

What kind of a wife is Hannah Quinlivan? A generous one, for sure! For their annual Christmas gift exchange, the rising star once gifted her hubby a Lamborghini Urus, which is one of the fastest and most expensive SUVs on the market. Chou gushed over his love’s extravagant present and recounted her surprise in an envy-inducing Instagram photo of them with their new ride.

4. She is a friend of Chanel

A fashion icon in the making, Quinlivan has also established a strong relationship with the Chanel house over the years. She regularly attends their fashion shows and rocks their designs at red carpet events and magazine shoots.

In a 2021 interview with L’Officiel Singapore, the stylish celeb even named Coco Chanel as one of her role models “for her business and her creative mind and her lifestyle”.

5. She started her own brand, Jendes

Following in the footsteps of Coco Chanel, the young actress built her fashion brand called Jendes in 2018. According to The Cut, the name Jendes is a witty combination of “Jen”, which is Quinlivan’s Chinese name, and the word “design”. She is also behind other successful brands Woof! and Quinlivan.
