HK Actor Damian Lau, 72, Resurfaces On Social Media 2 Years After Reported Stroke; Reveals He’s Still Healthy
The actor’s celeb pals also shared in interviews that Damian had a bad fall, and did not suffer a stroke, contrary to reports.
Back in 2020, reports claimed that veteran Hong Kong actor Damian Lau had suffered a stroke. He was also photographed using a walking aid, with the fingers on his right hand unable to bend properly.
When contacted for a comment, the actor’s management would only say that he had a bad fall, and that he was recovering well.
The actor’s celeb pals, including Hong Kong actress Michelle Yim, 66, also confirmed to the media that Damian did not suffer a stroke.
Now, some two years on, the 72-year-old has resurfaced on social media, posting a picture of himself on his Weibo account on Aug 11, with the caption: “Asking if everyone’s been well!”.
The actor appeared to be healthy and in good spirits. When actress Angie Chiu, 66, who was his screen partner in many TVB dramas, left a comment gushing about how happy he looked, he replied saying that they should meet up to reminisce about the good old days.
A few days later, Damian posted another picture on his Weibo, this time, with veteran Hong Kong actress Law Lan, 87.
“She's someone I hold dear and also someone I respect. Very happy to have met up, a rare opportunity. [I’m] grateful,” he wrote in his caption.
Damian’s posts were very well-received by netizens, many of whom wished good health upon the actor.
