Not being (or wanting to be) that much of a narratively coherent film, it’s not that it would really matter much in the first place, heh…

And I’ll have to thank you once again for sharing this oddity (even by Bénazéraf’s usual standards), and helping me fill some cinematic gaps. lor_’s review at imdb is pretty much spot on, hence, knowing what to expect more or less, i wasn’t disappointed. At it’s worst moments, it reminded me of Pierre Clémenti, and at it’s best, towards the end, Alain Robbe-Grillet or such…In it’s own (very) deranged manner, it somehow captures quite nicely the post May-’68 angst and/or malaise – a nice cultural artifact of sorts. Somehow i’ve always ‘connected’ more easily with the earlier soft erotica from directors like Bénazéraf or Pécas than the ones say from Jean Rollin or Jess Franco, not quite sure why. Kinda of a pity (well…comparatively speaking) that Bénazéraf remains almost entirely forgotten, one would expect that at least Frustration (1971) would have gone through restoration / had a blu-ray release by now…
