I had a great first year at Murray State University. The professors were kind and understanding and ran their classes well. The majority of students I met on campus were kind and welcoming, and I found friends pretty easily. The location is also a big plus. Murray is voted Kentucky's friendliest, small town, which I was not surprised to learn. Overall, I'd say Murray State University is a great university, and I've had an overall positive experience attending.
Murray State University is a great hometown vibe. If you aren’t looking for a huge change from small town or high school to college, MSU is probably going to be a pretty good fit for you. Murray caters to their students, and loves to provide anything beneficial for student life, there is just a very quiet feel to everything. I would recommend Murray State to anyone who wants to ease into college and social life, as opposed to diving in. I would give MSU 4 out of 5 stars personally, it is charming but very small.
I attended Murray State when I got accepted to the Commonwealth Honor Academy. The campus is great and the people really make you feel like you belong. I want to attend Murray in order to earn a degree in Vet Science.
Pricing is getting out of hand, and books mixed with distance learning, everything has a fee. The true cost is much higher than tuition. Need to be upfront about total costs.
The education creates very good work life balance. Once I had found my people I was able to participate in school activities like sporting events and campus productions. The atmosphere on campus is friendly with plenty to indulge in with out becoming overwhelmed.
Murray is a great school, and it's quite affordable for the educational opportunities it offers. Due to it being affordable, I believe the school lacks funding for things such as new buildings and increases in the quality of food, or facilities. Being said, I am happy I decided to come here.
It was a very smooth and simple process to register. Every representative of Murray was very helpful and knowledgeable about the their individual jobs and my individual needs as a freshman were.
Murray State University is a college that has a ton of positives to it, but like plenty other colleges can always improve. If you wish to attend a smaller campus that has tons of friendly professors across multiple degrees this is the place for it. The food is average I would say with a good diversity to it. One major downside of the college currently is the lack of good parking for a majority of students in their dorms.
Life at Murray State has been different for me, in the best way possible. I grew up in the Chicagoland area, and moving to a small community like Murray had me nervous. I knew I fell in love with the campus and the area during my tours, but over my last year here as a student, I learned there are so many other things to love in this quaint community. The small student population makes it incredibly easy to connect with your professors, and the professors here genuinely want to see you succeed. There are lots of academic resources that are helpful like our two libraries, free tutoring, and open office hours with your professors; and as a nursing student this is very appreciated. There truly is an uplifting community in Murray, and not only within the academic environment of this school. There are many extracurricular activities and ways to get involved with this loving community. For example, every other weekend my friends and I like to volunteer with the Calloway County Humane Society.
Murray State University has one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever seen. It is a beautiful place with beautiful people. The night life is great, but it is also a small town that houses many families.
When I started at Murray State University, I already had my associates degree so I was not required to live on campus. There are many housing options around the campus that make it is easy to walk or ride a bike to classes. The population in the classes and in housing were diverse and I enjoyed getting to meet many people and learn why they choose to attend MSU over other colleges as well as their backgrounds and expectations of college. I did not have a meal card, so I had to pay out of pocket for food. However, the food options were reasonably priced. I also worked at a restaurant right next to campus and served many people of the community and campus. Everyone was very friendly and loved the restaurant. I enjoyed my major, the professors, and my advisor who had decades of useful experiences for helping guide students in the classroom and ensure they were in the right major.
My experience Murray State University so far has been great. When picking a college I knew I wanted one that felt like home. Murray State does a great job with that. It is a small, affordable college. The courses I have taken have all been challenging, but with the help of my professors I was able to undertand all the material. MSU is a very inclusive college that wants the best for its students and staff.
Attending Murray State University has been a great experience for me so far. Everyone here is nice and the staff is very friendly.
Murray State University is a great campus for anyone wanting a quality education for a fraction of the price. Murray State University provides its students with a small town feeling by keeping its students connected to events, jobs, and community programs both on and off campus.
Attending Murray State University was an incredible learning experience. The faculty were supportive and the facilities well maintained. Academic support was available on request.
I believe there is an overall great quality about MSU. The faculty and staff are always nice, campus is always clean and safe. There are always improvements being done. I am overall very proud to be a student at Murray State University.
Murray has many positive qualities! Probably my favorite thing about Murray is that since the university is located in a small town, you still get a sense of a strong community despite it being a decent sized student body.
