How can I tell if a Lufthansa email is a scam?

After months of no follow up on compensation for delayed baggage on a flight, I get an email from the customer relations email address saying that they will give me a payment of X euros "without prejudice". They asked for my bank details, IBAN, and address. How can I be absolutely certain this is real? Email addresses line up, no obvious typos, letterhead looks good, and they have the correct case # for my inquiry. Am I being too cautious? In addition, what does it mean by bank details?

Did you end up calling them? I just got the same email and am not sure if it’s legit

Yes, it ended up being legit. Calling them didn't really help, they just said if it's our email it's real. I went for it and got paid a few days later

Can you ring them ?

Call their official phone number from the website (not the number in the email) and confirm
