- Carla Fisher has carved out a niche as an Actress, TV Show Host,
Motivational Speaker, and Top Model in a variety of settings. This
Evanston, Illinois native always dreamed of having a singing,
broadcasting, and acting career as a child. Fisher grew up performing
in front of her family, neighborhood friends, local theaters, and also
sang in school plays and showcases along with her two siblings.
Graduating at the top of her class and heading to college at the tender
age of 16, Fisher was destined for greatness. The tall, sleek, and
elegant nearly 5'9 small framed Honor Roll Society member, was stopped
in the mall by a talent agent from the Ford Robert Black modeling
agency in Arizona. She eventually signed on with the agency and started
an unexpected professional modeling career landing her first big print
Ad campaign with Adidas sportswear.
During summer vacation in Chicago, Fisher stopped by the Ebony and Jet
magazine headquarters to audition as a model for the historic Ebony
Fashion Fair Tour. After being overheard talking in the lobby by
founder Eunice Johnson, She was hired on the spot for her unique voice
and became the youngest commentator for the year long traveling show
that covered the US and multiple countries.
Fisher went on to sign with several top modeling and talent agencies
like Ford NY, L'Agence, and Susanne Johnson's and became a sought after
print and runway fashion model working throughout the country and
overseas with many top designers like Gianfranco Ferre, Oscar de la
Renta, Michael Kors, Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Todd Oldham and Escada to
name a few. Seen by millions in national magazines like WWD, Essence,
VIBE, and Jezebel, she's also appeared in commercials and television
shows like the Oprah Winfrey and The Tyra Bank's Show. Fisher appeared
in catalogs like Macys, JC Penney's, Kohl's, Marshall Field's, and
Sear's, and later signed on with Osbrink, LA Models, The People Store,
and Elite Model Management.
You name it, she does it! Fisher has bolstered her ability to captivate
a plethora of attention. She embarked on her broadcasting career as the
new in-stadium game host for the NFL Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia
Dome and went on to work as a roving reporter and pre-game show host
for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers upon moving to Los Angeles, CA in
attempts to advance her television and film career. Fisher loves giving
back, and became a Spokesmodel and Motivational speaker for Proscout
Inc in training hundreds of new model hopefuls and launching her
company DistinctlyU providing self-esteem seminars across the country
as well as speaking at schools and various events to inspire our youth.
This shinning Star landed her first Guest-Starring role on the
Disney-based show, Hanna Montana, Kelsey Grammer's Out of Practice, and
Nickelodeon's All That. She furthered her TV hosting career by landing
her first exclusive contract with The Home Shopping Network (HSN) and
most notably hosted on networks as The Weather Channel (TWC), HGTV, and
MTV to name a few. She also became a Spokesperson for the Green Schools
program on energy efficiency awareness. Fisher loves the spotlight
regardless of the place. She completed a staring role in the short film
The Dark Child, Clint Eastwood's film Trouble with the Curve, and
acquired a role in the Anna Nicole Smith Biopic on Lifetime television.
Fisher has proven regardless of the stage, she will reel in any
audience with her camera-friendly energetic persona and continues to
work hard in strengthening her skills and focused on doing good work
