Lots of dog pooh in the sand ,not good if you get it on your shoes or on your clothes. if you have kids playing in the sand it can be an issue also and a health hazard.Parking is expensive.

Would have been nicer without the amount of dog poop and careless dog owners we have a dog ourself but he’s under control but the others who let their dogs run up to him and my 2 year old and don’t even apologise then there’s litter full bins and dog poo everywhere of course it got accidentally and typically stood in so had to wash it off.

Lovely clean beach, just the paying for the parking is a bit much. Could be less for the parking fee.

We visited today and found a Fantastic safe clean beach with the convenience of parking on the beach I don’t consider £10 per car for all day excessive. You can also get a yearly pass for £35 for locals or £65 for visitors.I think if you’re visiting on a weekend or bank holiday in a heatwave you can only expect it to be busy with all sorts of clientele

Lovely beach, visited here with my young son, he loved it, it was a warm day so there was busy however was able to park, car parking was £10. Worth a visit if in the area

In October there is not much parking but cars come and go quite regularly so a space will soon appear. The Beach is lovely for everyone with plenty of space when the tide is out. Dog friendly in the Winter

A great day out. A quiet, accessible beach. Clean facilities for the public. Manned with cleaners and lifeguards regularly checking in.

Overpriced and tiny.
I have been visiting this beach since I was a kid with many happy memories.
Visited this beach recently with my partner to find a fee of £10 to access the beach with your car and the beach is literally a fraction of the size!!! Maybe a 20th of the size.
No barbecues allowed anymore either....really??
How about employ more staff to monitor your visitors and have some designated BBQ areas????
At least a few grands takings at the time (a few hours) of my visit with maybe 3 minimum wage employees given a token effort service.
I won't be coming here anymore nor will I be recommending the place as I used to.
How sad its is, these people making none sensical decisions really have no clue how to run such places.

Horses are allowed on the beach at these times.
Where do you head to thats near toilets, the food bar and ice creams ect that ive heard alot about thanks

The only toilets I know about are in the two pubs
But saying that the chippy is a restaurant and by law they will have toilets

Sorry to be so late answering. Have a lovely day whatever you do. It's now Easter Monday and I found this on Sefton Council's website: Due to high tides, Ainsdale Beach Car Park will be at the REDUCED size on Thursday 18th April and Monday 22nd April. It will be CLOSED Friday 19th to Sunday 21st April.
Due to high tides, Southport Beach Car Park will be CLOSED from Thursday 4th to Tuesday 9th April AND Wednesday 17th to Tuesday 23rd April.
Please also be aware that the beach car parks at Southport and Ainsdale may be closed on other dates, for other reasons such as weather conditions, incidents or events.
Please take your rubbish home and where possible, recycle it.
Do not BBQ at the beach or in the dunes.
Check tide times, stay safe and have fun.

Hi, in winter from September to end of March you can park on the right hand side of the road down to the beach where there is a single yellow line, or in the Sands pub car park, £1 for 2 hours, well it is best to check if going on there in case they have changed it.
What are the jelly like capsules that tether themselves to the sand??
