For three days, the NOVA auditorium welcomed the most innovative jazz musicians from the Portuguese and international scene. 

The meeting, dedicated to internationalisation and talent recruitment policies, took place from 13 to 17 May and was attended by 26 participants of 13 different nationalities, coming from several NOVA's partner universities.  

Eduniversal has just launched its evaluation of the best Master's degrees in Management, and in this 2024 edition of the Best Masters & MBA's ranking, several programmes from NOVA University Lisbon are once again recognised.

Events have multiplied in all the universities of the European alliance of which we are a part - and also at the NOVA University Lisbon schools. 

"Collaboration between institutions can make all the difference; that's why it's important to get everyone around the same table to find similarities and differences and try to understand how we can work together", highlighted the Rector of NOVA University Lisbon, João Sàágua, about the meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) – an intergovernmental institution that brings together the countries of the European Union and 15 countries from the southern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean – which took place all day on Thursday 16th at the NOVA Rectory. 

The programme was officially launched in early May and will run until 2026.

Launched by the NOVA Impact office in collaboration with Santander Universities, the programme is open to students from any university with an innovative project that solves a social or environmental problem.

"Leave no one behind: equality, freedom and justice for all": this is the motto adopted by the United Nations (UN) in 2024 to celebrate the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia and to contribute to the end of discrimination - by raising awareness and taking action for respect and equality for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and sexual characteristics. 

On 13 May, the first EUTOPIA Day will be celebrated (...) and NOVA will once again be present with a special programme on practically all its sites, so I invite all members of our community to get to know the work of this innovative member of the EUTOPIA Alliance and to take advantage of this celebration to explore collaboration opportunities in this important network.

The winners of the 24th edition of the "Trusted Brands" survey, which assesses the level of trust Portuguese people have in a range of everyday realities – brands, personalities, professions and institutions – have just been announced. Once again, Elvira Fortunato's name appears on this list. 

In the year of the 50th anniversary of 25 April 1974, we challenged our student community to reflect on the meaning of freedom and how it manifests itself. See the winning images here. 

The ceremony, which took place on Monday 6th at the NOVA University Lisbon, was full of praise and affection.
