NOVA hosted a meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean: "Faced with the challenges of today's world, cooperation between institutions can make all the difference"

"Collaboration between institutions can make all the difference; that's why it's important to get everyone around the same table to find similarities and differences and try to understand how we can work together", highlighted the Rector of NOVA University Lisbon, João Sàágua, about the meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) – an intergovernmental institution that brings together the countries of the European Union and 15 countries from the southern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean – which took place all day on Thursday 16th at the NOVA Rectory.

International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia at NOVA: find out about the programme and get involved! 

"Leave no one behind: equality, freedom and justice for all": this is the motto adopted by the United Nations (UN) in 2024 to celebrate the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia and to contribute to the end of discrimination - by raising awareness and taking action for respect and equality for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and sexual characteristics.

The winners of the 24th edition of the "Trusted Brands" survey, which assesses the level of trust Portuguese people have in a range of everyday realities – brands, personalities, professions and institutions – have just been announced. Once again, Elvira Fortunato's name appears on this list.

"A prominent figure in the field of labour law, recognised in Portugal, Europe and beyond". NOVA University Lisbon awarded Professor António Monteiro Fernandes the title of Doctor Honoris Causa
