Detailed Reviews
We had a great time at hotel Careggi! The desk clerks were all so kind and helped us call a cab when we needed one.
It's a little ways from downtown. We didn't try public transit, but it is cheap and available. We weren't sure where the bus stop was though to take us into town.
Breakfast also supplied in the morning was a big plus.

Best part of the hotel are the staff and the rooms, the new refurnished rooms are beautiful.
Staff were very helpful, you can purchase bus tickets from the front desk and it's only a short walk to the nearest bus stop to travel to the centre of Florence.
Our room facilities were very good, TV and small fridge which was very useful.
Breakfast was okay, nothing special but no specific complaints either, coffee was tasty.
Unfortunately the area our room was in a separate building, we were woken up both mornings with continuous hammering and drilling, which we were unsure if it was related to the hotel or a third party. Either way, unfortunately ruined our opportunity to sleep in, and the noise did become irritating.
There is a restaurant next door to the hotel which was recommended and was nice.
Wifi was okay, but would disconnect on and off from time to time.

I was impressed with the kindness and helpfulness of the receptionist and the breakfast attendant at Hotel Careggi. I had a single room, it was clean and well serviced. The coffee at breakfast was excellent, and if you need it, they provide gluten-free bread/crackers/biscuits. The hotel is close to the university (ideal for me) and to a major hospital (so you will likely hear ambulances from time to time). I am not an expert on accommodation, but Hotel Careggi seems worthy to me of a good review.

This wonderful hotel became my home away from home. I was treated like family by all the staff. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was nice. Owners were helpful with local information, directions and assistance in planning my days.

I picked this hotel without any booking and the reception is very helpful. I inspected room 115 which faces street and decided to stay. When I asked if room 115 is a quiet room, I was offered room 220 which is a larger room and it's at the back. €5 for private parking , free street parking between 8pm to 8 am & Sunday. Has a nice lift, operates with the room key.

I was a guest in this hotel vith my family due to an important hospital examination of my 3 years old child. This hotel is very close to Mayer Hospital, all the staff is really friendly. It's a two stars hotel but to be honest could be close to became a four star hotel. I strongly suggest to stay!

Pros: possibility of covered paid parking. Proximity to the center, reachable for those who want to walk even with a half hour walk. Decent breakfast. Convenient to restaurants/pizzerias just a stone's throw away.
Clean room and bathroom.
Cons: the bathroom was small, but still ok, apart from the toilet flush (we thought it wasn't working, but after pointing it out, they advised us to press the button repeatedly and forcefully) which after flushing remained 'bubbling' for a long time until to the slow filling of the tray. This, together with other nocturnal noises, compromised my rest a little. When we mentioned it, they advised us, for a possible future, to request another room.
Let's say that for a couple of nights, if you don't have many expectations, it could be fine, I'm obviously speaking from my experience, but the quality/price ratio could improve.

Hospitality, cleanliness, kindness and availability are the watchwords. The possibility of parking is also important.
We chose this structure for its strategic proximity to healthcare facilities and public transport stops that allow you to reach the center in just a few minutes.
Thanks to all the staff, from the owners to all the collaborators. I hope to return soon, perhaps for a tourist holiday.

Very nice hotel, super clean rooms (including bathroom), new furniture, good and varied breakfast, both sweet and savory.
Very welcoming staff, kind and available for any information or request.
Very close to the hospital for those who need it.
At the corner of the building there is a restaurant/pizzeria where you can eat really well and tastefully.
I will have to return periodically and for me this hotel will always be my point of reference in Florence, even if I don't have to go there for health situations.
We really had a great time.
I highly recommend it

Welcoming and spotlessly clean facility, friendly and helpful staff. Applause for the modern furniture and spacious bathroom. Convenient location for public transport. Our room also had a very large terrace overlooking the main road, with virtually no traffic noise in the room

Yes the only possibility is a taxi. There is flat fare for this service, but of course there will be supplemts for bags and night service.
We have 10 car places, if full there is a public parking nearby.
You can check in whenever you want. Our hotel is alwasy open, even during the night.
Best regards
