I love all of the events such as the Winter dance and the festivals that the students and faculty put together. The environment is so nice and the students are generally very responsible and kind.
Melbourne High School has an amazing international baccalaureate (IB) program! The classes offered are very interesting and fun in most cases but some teachers don't teach material to the students as often as they should. Overall, this is not the case but can be a struggle for those of us in the IB program. I have noticed that the campus is quite safe, we have sherifs on campus at all times and randomly the K-9's will search the school. The campus is also very well taken care of and the clubs are very well organized. Overall Melbourne High School has been great to attend!
Melbourne High School is a great school. There are so many clubs and sports, there is something for everyone no matter what your interests are.
It has been an overall good high school experience. but it has had some drawbacks like some bad teachers and a lot of lockdowns.
Melbourne High school has given me the ability to do Dual Enrollment which is one of the best choices I have made for my academic career. I have had good teachers a Melbourne and have been able to make relationships with my teachers and peers. Melbourne High School has prepared me for the future ahead.
Melbourne High school is a great school for the county, being near NASA and FIT there is many opportunities such as engineering, construction, Digital Design, an d any more.
Since I have been attending Melbourne High School, the overall experience has been great. The school offers several activities to facilitate high school development and learning. Such as Band, ROTC, and environmental clubs. I have been a member of the band for three years.
Each year that I have participated in the marching it has been a wonderful experience. The marching band has allowed me to meet friends, foster relationships and to learn about music. The Melbourne High School marching band has been awarded the best band award twice since I was a member. This was truly a spectacular experience. I have participated in the symphonic band it's more classical in nature. This has allowed me to develop my skills on the clarinet. The symphonic band participates in the Musical Performance Assessment (MPA) and Melbourne High School is graded superior for the past three years. The band has allowed for me to have the best high school experience and my administrators have made this possible.

I would say that Melbourne Senior Highschool is an overall a pretty good school a lot of the classes have a somewhat challenging curriculum. I would say the only bad experiences or thung I don't like is the lack of school involved activities lack pep rallies. We have some pep rallies but it's only for about 20 minutes before school starts during football season.
The buildings are falling apart and they have had a loss of many amazing teachers. There is a focus on certain programs like Band but not equal.
my school is really good at offering us helpful resources and making sure we are ready for the new year.
Overall the school is good. They offer programs like IB (international baccalaureate) which I was in and business career. IB boosts the educational aspect of the school because it’s a great program for students who are intelligent and need to work with like minded students, however, due to covid and other reasons we lost a lot of good teachers while I was there and it made it really hard for the students. They are taking away the Ap classes if an IB class is offered for it, however, I don’t think that’s the best idea due to the different teaching style of the classes. The diversity in this school lacks in the students and with the teachers, but in the IB program the diversity is high even with my class only having 31 students. We hold a culture festival in december for the school and it is amazingly fun to come and represent our cultures. The school does a good job at making school pride. The sport teams are pretty good too and the band is great. They also have good school dances.
I like how inclusive the school is overall, but I would like to see some more effort put into the college prep such as study plans for the SAT, career plans, and introductions to career fields.
Overall, Melbourne High School has provided an amazing high school experience for me. From getting connected through sports to having made great friends, I could not suggest a better high school. They have great academic programs and great teachers who will help you learn the material.
There always a lot of effort put into preparing students for college and there were many opportunities to get college credit or become certified in specific skills. But, there was a little bit of difficulty getting specific information about events and deadlines for certain activities.
At Melbourne High School, I was able to excel due to the amazing programs. Specifically, I took the opportunity of graduating with my AA degree. This prepared me for college, and greatly benefited my future. MHS is a great school!
I liked the atmosphere of the school, most of the bathrooms were clean, most staff was friendly, and most of the sports fields and courts were very clean. One thing i did have an issue with was how if one grade caused trouble, the administrators would punish the next graduating class. that’s what happened to my class. class of 2022 took their senior prank too far, so class of 2023 almost didn’t even have a senior prank. someone in class of 2022 wrote something offensive as a senior quote, so what does administration do to punish students, they TAKE AWAY senior quotes (which are a tradition nationwide for many years) from the NEXT class, 2023. Tell me how this makes any sense. another thing earlier in the four years i went to school was, class of 2022 caused so much trouble during their power hour, that the administrators took away power hour for the new grade (2023). The administrations “punishment” was so stupid and honestly made no sense.
All together I have had a good experience attending Melbourne High School. The teachers are excellent at their job except for a few but that is expected at any school you attend. They have a handful of CTE programs from culinary to engineering. The facilities on campus are well kept and managed. The only part I didn’t enjoy was the cafeteria food.
