With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Brian George Robertson, who passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the Yorkton Regional Hospital. Born July 29, 1942, in the idyllic landscapes near Moosomin, SK, Brian met his courageous battle with cancer with grace, resilience, and his distinctive humour, always surrounded by his loving family.

In remembrance are his cherished parents, James and Winnifred Robertson, both originally from Moosomin, SK. Brian was predeceased by his devoted wife, Georgette Robertson of Melville, SK; brother Terry Robertson of Weyburn, SK; and brother-in-law Fred Crashley of Cranbrook, BC. Surviving to honour his legacy are his four children: J. Paul Robertson (Victoria, BC) and his partner, Miranda Robinson; Quintin M. Robertson (Yorkton, SK) and his wife, Susan Robertson; Andrea Robertson (Vancouver, BC) and Patrick Barnett; and Nicholas Robertson (Vancouver, BC) with Sam Maiers.

Brian was the beloved brother of Vicky Crashley (Cranbrook, BC) and David Robertson (Moosomin, SK). His cherished role as a grandfather saw him dote upon his five grandchildren: Sydney, Maggie, Eli, Georgia, and Libby Robertson.

Raised on a farm near Moosomin, Brian imbibed the values of diligence and perseverance. Beyond Melville, he was lauded not only for his entrepreneurial spirit but also for his staunch support for minor hockey and baseball. Brian's brilliance, honesty, ethical standards, tireless work ethic, and generosity are memories held dear by those fortunate to have known him. His astute wit and insights are legendary.

In the words reminiscent of Bob Dylan, "May your heart always be joyful, may your song always be sung, and may you stay forever young." Brian's essence was one of joy, humor, and determination, even amidst life's adversities.

The void left by Brian will be deeply felt by all—his family, friends, associates, and the countless lives he touched.

Farewell, Brian George Robertson. Your indomitable spirit and legacy are etched in our hearts. Rest in peace.
