I had a really fun and great time, from the teachers to my classmates they were all amazing. I would not change anything about the school, except how far away from home it is, its truly a wonderful place.
One of my favorite things about IU is that it is a beautiful campus and has many different kinds of people. I have met so many amazing people from all over the world and they are people i amazing being around me forever. I have not had one bad experience with the people and the scenes at IU!
My overall experience with Indiana University has been amazing. When I first came to Bloomington in 2020 as a freshman, I was so scared. Now that I'm a senior, I don't want to leave.
My overall experience at Indiana University has been very positive. I have found myself enjoying my classes, and becoming independent. I have made friends that I will cherish forever. I believe that Indiana University is setting me up for success in future endeavors.
As a freshman I had a really fun time at IU. I played club baseball first semester and rushed a fraternity second semester. I met a lot of good people and my year flew by in no time. I’m glad I chose IU and I can’t wait to go back.
I loved Indiana and can't imagine having gone anywhere else. Not only is it one of the most beautiful campuses in the country because of the local limestone quarries that are responsible for most of the buildings, but many call it the next Ivy League school because it has the same feel. It's a great school academically, but also athletically, with basketball being a way of life in the state of Indiana. Though football isn't their strong suit, the opportunity to work during football and basketball games and become part of the community was amazing and I wish I spent more time doing it.
I have a few regrets, but they're all personal. I wish I ended up with a different course of study, but I wouldn't have been friends with the same group of people if I made the switch. Trust your gut when it comes to choosing a major and setting yourself up for the rest of your life, or you might have to start over - but even if you do that's no fault of the University. It's really an amazing place!

As an alum of the Jacobs School of Music I enjoyed that the performing arts (music/ballet) were treated with esteemed care by not only the faculty, who are highly skilled, experienced, and decorated in their own careers, but as well by the university. We were given the recognition of being a top 10 music school, and were trusted with multiple works that are of professional standing, even going as far as to globally premiere two ballets, Sasha Janes's The Nutcracker, and A Star on the Rise ( a retelling of La Bayadere set in the golden age of Hollywood). In Jacobs we were granted the personal and privatized education needed to grow our expertise in our fields.
IU allowed me to have those private moments while still giving me access to a diverse student body and academic pursuit. The university which is home to thousands of students feels like a greater family. Everyone's experiences may differ over their four years of study but we will still bond over our shared Hoosier identity.

My overall experience at Indiana University - Bloomington for the past three years has been very positive for my personal, social, academic, and professional life. IU has allowed me to grow into the person I had always imagined myself to be. I absolutely love Bloomington, IN, and the small-town feel it provides to the large college campus Indiana University lays upon. Socially, IU has allowed me to embrace my old friendships and meet amazing new people who have flourished into great friendships. Academically, I have been fortunate to get a degree in Interior Design and learn from some of the best professors in the school. I have really enjoyed my education at Indiana University and the projects I have been able to design. Lastly, professionally, IU has allowed me an avenue of people to network with and many different career avenues through interior design that I had never even imagined. I absolutely love everything that Indiana University has done for me.
Indiana University Bloomington's picturesque campus and welcoming community made my time there truly memorable. The university's commitment to academic excellence, coupled with a diverse range of extracurricular activities, fostered an enriching environment for personal and intellectual growth. However, as an international student, I encountered challenges in securing employment opportunities and navigating the complexities of job applications and tax regulations. While the university provided some resources, more comprehensive support and guidance tailored to the unique needs of international students would have been invaluable. By addressing these areas, IU Bloomington can further solidify its reputation as a truly global institution, empowering students from diverse backgrounds to thrive both academically and professionally.
I've had a good time at IU. I'm In O'Neill so my classes are smaller and I have time to talk to my professors one on one. And there are a lot of extra curricular activities
As a student who just finished their first year at Indiana University, I’d say my overall experience was great! First semester was my time to adjust to a brand new setting, learn how to be independent, and start to step out of comfort zone and meet new people and try new things. Then came second semester which had a rough start considering it was the cold winter in the Midwest and the beginning of the rush process for sorority recruitment. Later on throughout the semester my relationships with the people on my floor grew, I maintained an amazing friendship with my roommate, and I met new girls in my sorority I ended up joining. Additionally, IU has so many amazing resources from career services helping with your career path, resumes, LinkedIn, etc., to workshops, academic advisors, professors, tutoring services and even more.
I would like to see more support for student exploring different fields. Everyone seems to be prepared for what they want to do when they first enter school.
Have enjoyed my time here so far at Indiana University, need to work on the administrative aspect of this college but other than that we have a solid community here.
I love IU Bloomington, I was trying to go to school out of state but the financial aid I received persuaded me to stay and I'm so grateful. Attending a huge school is amazing, there are so many opportunities- it's impossible to take advantage of them all and there is always something going on. I'm in the business school so sometimes it feels like all there is to campus is business, but through my minor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, I can explore my interest in sustainability and meet students in schools outside of the business school. IU Bloomington also offers many on-campus jobs through job fairs, so you can easily find a job on campus which has been a huge blessing. The on-campus food is pretty good but most students find off-campus housing after freshman year, and with the campus and city buses, it is easy to make it to and from campus. TLDR: I love Bloomington and no matter your major so will you!
The only aspect I enjoyed during my time at Indiana University - Bloomington was the academics. I enjoyed every class I took and working with classmates, instructors, and advisors. The downfall of my experience was my housing/roommate situation and the dining halls. I did not have a great experience with either. I also do not enjoy going out to parties all the time, which is a huge factor of attending Indiana.
I have loved my time at Indiana University. I was a freshmen in the year 2020 when Covid hit, which greatly influenced my collegiate experience. Despite the struggles of my freshmen year, I had a great time and got involved within campus my sophomore year, which led me to make life-long friends. I also had many great opportunities to gain research experience at IU in the Psychology Department which has helped prepare me greatly for graduate school.
I'm a CJUS and Psychology student and have loved most of my classes and professors. The most rewarding part of my time here has been involvement in the Collins Living-Learning center!
There is something for everyone there. St. Paul’s is a great place and was so good to me. The radio station is available for students work on, and there are classes to become an EMT as well. There is essentially an opportunity for anything that you are interested in!
IU has a lot to offer in terms of academic programs and resources, and ways to get involved on and around campus. There is always something to do, whether that be on campus or in the Bloomington area, and there is a true community feeling. However, the increases in tuition during my time here have not been appreciated.
I liked the beauty of the campus, the food, and the night life. I didn't like how little some professors cared about students.
